1. [Setting: Elevators] Did you know it takes a half hour to get from the top of the dorms down to the cafeteria by elevator? Well you're finding out now! Strike up a conversation with the others stuck in there with you! Maybe play I Spy or something.

2. [Setting: Floor Eighty-Six] What's with all the mushrooms? And why are they in circles? That's weird--but maybe the mushrooms are edible? On the other hand, maybe you know exactly what these are--and you should really stop that idiot who's going to jump right in the middle of one of the fairy rings before he gets everyone on the floor turned to jell-o or something.

3. [Setting: Floor Seventy-Nine] Fancy some deep-sea diving? Grab some scuba gear, hop off the staircase, and explore some ruins! Just be careful you don't run out of air or run into a shark (or run into a shark while you're running low on air). Of course, if you can breathe underwater or just don't need to breathe at all, then the sharks would be your only worry. Try and find some treasure!

4. [Setting: Floor Fifty-Nine] Is this a torture chamber? Yes it is. Maybe you want to get out of here as soon as possible or maybe this floor really speaks to you. Maybe you want to give that iron maiden try on the first person who happens to wander by! On the other hand, maybe you got a bit too close to something and are about to take a spin in the racks yourself. Hopefully someone will come help you.

5. [Setting: Floor Thirty-Three] There's farmland on this floating island, and anything you can grow yourself is bound to be more reliable quality-wise than the cafeteria food. Of course, the recent odd storms have made a mess of this floor. Get to cleaning it up and then get to growing something!

6. [Setting: Floor Two] It's time for your first collar checkup! Go wait in the waiting room for your turn--maybe strike up a conversation and find out what this is all about! Or try to fight the worker units when they call for you, not that fighting them ever ends well.

7. [Setting: Anywhere] Whoops, you've gotten distracted, or lost, or you're still climbing up the stairs when night falls. It's time for the monsters to start prowling--and one's got its eyes (or whatever sensory organs it may have) on you! Time to fight back, or time to run?

[Utena had been through her fair share of embarrassing situations, but being forced to wear a strange collar and examined like a lab rat was among the worst. Waiting her turn to be prodded and measured for first time she sits mumbling to herself and silently wishing that time itself would speed up for a moment to spare her the indignity that awaited her in the near future.]

[Tohko wasn't one to ignore a collar check up, especially now that she found out what they were for. It was stupid to reject something that kept you in your body. However, as she sat and waited her turn, she noticed an annoyed-looking girl who was mumbling to herself.]

However, while Momo wasn't quite sure what to make of that note, she did know that archives often contained information. So, you could find Momo walking through the isles, looking at the various volumes, trying to find one that would explain her current situation.]

She doesn't seem older than six or seven years and still she was apparently working on very large tomes and- oh, wait, maybe not, there are also pastels on the table] You're... tall. It was a little uncharacteristic of Orihime to be so quiet in the presence of others, but this was a pretty extreme situation. She had gone to sleep assuring herself that things were going good for Kurosaki-kun, and that soon she's be able to do more to help him. To help everyone...

But then she awoke in the tower. She wasn't sure what to make of it. Had something happened to Kurosaki-kun? Was this something totally unrelated? She turned it over in her mind again and again, until she was simply left feeling frustrated and at a complete loss. All she could was try to make the best of the situation until she knew more.

She turned to the other occupant of the elevator, and greeted them with a warm smile.

"Hello."

Somehow, Orihime had missed the bit about the tower becoming dangerous at night, and that is why her little exploration adventure was beginning to take a bad turn. As she was passing the lowest forest level, she thought she heard a voice. She stepped off the stairs, and just a a few feet away, squinting into the dark at the figures in the fog ahead.

"Kurosaki-kun? ...Tatsuki-chan?"

Slowly she moved closer, despite feeling a little tired... maybe a little heavier. Despite that, she had to get closer. It would only make sense that all her friends would be there if her world really had been destroyed... right?

It was normal for Tohko to occasionally take the elevator. After all, it was near-impossible for her to run up a hundred flights of stairs and still feel well enough to help out anyone she found. However..she didn't expect to see this. The girl looked like Orihime..but an older version. Was the Tower playing games again? Or..was this a new resident?

"Good morning..pardon me, but are you a new arrival here? Or..have you aged, Orihime?"

[Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls! Welcome to the world's first (1st) elevator straight to the center of the planet! Honestly, you could pitch a tent, set up confectioneries and charge admission for this thing, or at least that's how it felt at the start - while such a massive, functional elevator was definitely pretty impressive, the actual ride left a biiiit to be desired, but details, details.

Have one Makoto Nanaya, slightly disgruntled squirrel girl in what appears to be University styled garb, leaning against the inner railing of the elevator as she taps a foot impatiently. The first two minutes of the ride were pretty standard, but it didn't take long for her to realize that this little adventure down twenty-bazillion floors wasn't going to be quick. Not in the slightest. It's enough to set her mind to wander:

"Hope the elevator doesn't stop every time someone punches the button on the outside..."
"How many levels does this place even have?"
"Is this elevator's only speed 'three legged tortoise covered in molasses' or what!?"
"...Are we there yet?"
"What happens if some jackass punches in every button and makes a break for it?"
"Wonder if the cafeteria sells dessert...?"
"If there's a game room, they better have dig dug."

... And more! But the crippling silence within her metallic 4.5ft X 6 ft prison was a bit uncomfortable, so if no one else would clear the air, she'd have to be the first to do it. No way is she gonna sit around without something to chat about!

With a cross between a yawn and a sigh, Makoto glances around the other occupants cheerily, her annoyance masked by the obvious energy in her voice]

Jeez, I know we've been kidnapped an' all, but these creepos could've at least had the decency to install a flatscreen in here or something! We'll die of boredom before the hunger even has a chance to kick in...

[Hakumen welcomed the quiet more than that of talk. He tried to think of where he saw Makoto from, but he could not recall, least not in fall. With holes still in his memories, trying to think of it all wasn't helping. He was more focused on finding out the other problems this tower held.]

[Holy Mist, why does it take so long every time?] The girl sighed crossing her arms and shaking her head: she was a somehow wild person and she was raised by summons and monsters, if there was a thing she disliked it was waiting in silence. [Uhm...] At least this time she wasn't alone. [Hey, hello.] She tilted her head looking at the other person who was sharing the elevator with her [It's boring, isn't it?] Maybe talking with someone would make the whole thing a little less boring than usual.

An AU Rydia huh? In the elevator then!

[Another day, another overly long ride down to the cafeteria. At least the elevator was relatively safe compared to the rest of the tower and usually made for some good rest. Today though there was a girl that Amelia didn't recognize, another newcomer perhaps? And quite a bit younger than herself, which was a surprise considering she wasn't exactly that old either.]

Oh, hello there! Yeah it kind of is... but I guess it's understandable. I don't know exactly how many floors there are, but this place is huge. I've been here over a month and I still haven't seen them all.

[Figures he would fine a torture chamber here. Briefly he wondered if this floor belonged to Terumi. He wouldn't be surprised in the slightest. Still, no sign of him, Rachel, or even Ragna, let alone anyone else. Calmly, he walks through the floor, heading to the staircase. This place served little threat to him, even if his power was not fully restored.

A shadow moved, and he stopped. Someone was here. No, with the noise they made, more like something. Vile and twisted, yet still paled in comparison to the stench of the Black Beast; nearly everything did. Those eyes on his body moved, looking everywhere for the possible enemy. Perhaps they sought to push him in, maybe see blood flow? They were in for a disappointment.

Finally, he turns around just as the creature is about to push him into the iron maiden, arm held up, a blue shield appearing and forcing the beast to stop. That brief moment, Hakumen tossed the creature into the very torture device it aimed to push him into. The door slammed automatically, and the last thing he heard was the dying cries of the beast.]

7. Meadow floor.

[This scene seemed familiar. It was at night, in his world, when he discarded the name Jin Kisaragi, and became Hakumen with the aid of the vampire. Nearly a century of life of fighting, though he was also trapped in the Edge. His memories might not be what they used to be, but it was enough for him. Still, this place held some nostalgia.

You can find him just standing there for a while, simply looking at the sky. Disturb?]

[He didn't see the point of eating, personally; it's not like human food really provided any kind of sustenance for him. Still, word from several individuals he had encountered revealed that he needed to at least eat the oatmeal. It still seemed exceptionally pointless to him, but it was something to look into if nothing else.]

[After all, he seemed to be alone here, with no other Espada to bother him nor Aizen-sama to issue new orders. The only thing he could really do was look into where he was and make the most of it until he could return to Las Noches.]

[If you're in the elevator with him? Expect the quietest half hour of your life.]

[What an unbelievably gloomy lookin' guy! Pale skin, brooding disposition, completely silent... And was that mascara rolling down his cheeks? Didn't look like anyone from her world - actually, there were a ton of people here who were in the same boat! Yoinked from their homes and brought to this ginormous tower to ... well, eat oatmeal, apparently. Doesn't mean y'can't at least strike up friendly conversation or force a smile to get through the day! It was way too quiet in this elevator, and given they'd only been going about five minutes thusfar, the silence was only gonna get worse unless she did something - soooo...]

[She would've sprung for sports talk, but who knows if this guy even knew what Lacrosse was? Teams wouldn't be the same anyhow.]

[Karis had been taking her Tower exploration as methodically as possible, working her way down from the top and spending as much time on each floor as necessary to fully explore it, provided they weren't too dangerous (though it seemed a lot of places in here were bordering on too dangerous).

This floor gives her pause, though--while it's not the most spectacular display she's seen here, it's certainly unique enough on its own. She isn't sure how she's going to explore it, though--unless she can come up with some creative use of her psynergy to bring some air with her--but would that be enough without a Mercury adept around to alter the water? Tentatively, she pushes a hand through the water's skin, just to see if it's possible.]

How much alchemy are they using in this place?

Too much of a good thing ends up being not enough. You would quite know if this were the case.

[Fairy circles? What are those? This is the idiot mentioned in the second scenario, the one on floor 86 about to step into one of the mushroom rings. Because they're just mushrooms, right? After all, no one mentioned they were dangerous.]

[So apparently it's a bad idea to interrupt any of the monsters eating, even accidentally. He probably could've waited to go up that staircase, but it's not like the angry chocobo now chasing him is going to give him much of a choice.]

[Tohko sometimes came up here, both to read, and to make sure no one else accidentally stepped into the fairy circles. After all, Enoch had almost done it once, so others probably stepped in them as well..and got hurt.

So, when she saw Luke about to step in out, she shouted to him, hoping that she was in time.]

[Fuk. Fuk! Jarret tongued his implant, trying to contact Staff but not succeeding. On the one hand: he had his KC-7, his uniform, body armor and his helmet. On the other: the helmet was useless because he couldn't use it to contact his platoon, he had only one remaining clip for his KC-7 and his platoon was still on the Silsviss world in fuk knows what kind of danger. Oh, and he was wearing some strange kind of collar. That definitely had to go if he could help it.

With lilac hair (which wasn't actually hair but rather a protein-based sensor array) and eyes just a shade darker than his hair, the young Taykan had a very business like air around his as his hair tightened against his skull in what might be a sign of paranoia and revealing pointed ears like an elf. But, since no one here was from the Confederation (he couldn't contact anyone through his implant anyway), there was no one who could peg his moods by the way his hair moved.]

The Shadow spent his time wandering around late at night. To most he would most likely appear to be just a dark blob, silently stalking about the halls. The man wanted to find out any information that he could grab, the reason why he choose the night to do so was simple. It was his world, his personal domain. He understood it, he knew the horrors that lurked behind it. And who knew, perhaps there was some hapless person that had decided to wander around at night.

If so then there was a good chance that he could gleam some form of information from that person, or save them from one the beasts that he had heard would wander around the halls during the after hours. If he did save them then they would most certainly owe him a life debt. One that he would cash in on almost immediately.

[ If you're on this floor, you might see Vayne here lurking around the shelves, or once in a while stopping by one of the terminals to stare at them in a mixture of curiosity and confusion, though he never actually attempts to operate them.

He seems like he's trying to avoid notice though, and rather skittish to boot. But that's understandable, right, for a newbie who woke up to be told their world was destroyed? ]

[ Floor 5 - Viewing Room ]

[ Curiosity killed the cat, or so they say. For anyone in the vicinity, it's not hard to notice him falling back from one of the viewing stations with a soft cry, looking stricken. ]

N-no, this- this wasn't supposed to happen...!

[ He'd thought disappearing would've kept everyone safe... ]

[ Floor Thirty-Three - Floating Island (Farmland) ]

[ Vayne is an alchemist, and for the matter also grew up alone, so he knows the value of resources. Especially after that wreck of a first meal.

Therefore, while passing by the island, you might see a silver-haired young man in what looks to be a (school?) uniform of some sort carefully tending to the farmland there.

Of course, it's currently a wreck, so it's hard work for one teenage-looking boy. ]

Ah- this would probably be easier if Nikki or the Mana of Trees was here, wouldn't it... I wonder what happened here anyway? Sulpher?

[ Who is he even talking to? It can't be that black cat by him, can it? ]

[ Anywhere - Either approaching or already nightfall ]

[ Vayne will be wandering, looking for stray monsters to try to kill so he can harvest their remains. Waste nothing, after all- but from his own experience they tend to get a lot more erratic and vicious once the night comes, so he's also looking rather hasty as he does so. Whether or not he makes his quota or gets to a safe zone in time is to be seen.

If you've seen him around the Tower earlier, you might be wondering where the cat that follows him everywhere went, because he'd seemed rather attached to it before...

He looks rather suspicious, anyway, dressed in the Bleak Veil like he is, trailing shadowy wisps everywhere.

Considering how, if you're seeing him fight, the gauntlet on his right arm has a giant red eye in the middle of it, he probably doesn't think anything of the way he looks- or realize anything out of the ordinary, anyway. ]

On the first floor cafeteria, there appears to be a table set up all kinds of pretty as one might for a tea party. Several tables in fact, probably shoved together. A tablecloth, of lace design, nice china, so on. Also, lots of sweets. ... The preparation involved in this must have been staggering, but really, it's best not to ask. The only person attending said tea party, however, is a somewhat pale man with white hair in victorian-era clothing. Also there's a puppet on his shoulder, moving and clicking as he speaks to it as though it's alive. But you'll never see HIS lips move. Why don't you strike up a conversation? It does look awfully nice, doesn't it? ]

Aaah~ Nothing like a nice cup of tea to orient oneself in a beautiful new environment such as this.

Look, look, some slaves and servants! Have some tea with us, slaves! ♪

[The sir barely has time to contemplate these things as he is currently running from a gaggle of nasty ne'er do well monsters that took the forms of several orcish creatures, a nasty man in a diving suit, and an angel thingy. Rincewind is himself unaware of what they looked like past a blur. What was certain was that he was running, quite expeditiously, away from things that resembled blurs. Their actual descriptions are more of an afterthought. A thought that was, by definition, not yet to form. It would be a thought after his current one, which consisted of "run very fast and please hope that they eventually get tired of fast food".]

[After much...rather spirited sprinting, the Wizzard found himself standing in a clearing of a rather nicely lit forest, rather devoid of anything resembling things that had mouths filled with incisors. The nearest climbable tree was suited in place of a treehouse. At least it was a nice place to sit, at least for a moment or two.]

Connor was truthfully enjoying the farm land that he had found himself on. He found it to be a welcome when compared to the tight halls that seemed to never end. While he didn't necessarily mind being indoors, he did not like being inside almost constantly. It was far too constraining for a man who had spent most of his early years growing up outside. Though his comfort of the floor did not stop him from forgetting just where he is.

Farmland. It was a lot like the land that he had lived on his entire life before he had been turned. It wasn't like Alucard needed to eat-- he wasn't sure that he could, really. But there was something very sad about the state of the farm. It needed to be fixed up, made so that a person could grow actual food there. Though he was now a creature of the night, enough remained of the man he was before to want to be able to help people.

He noticed the other man, regarding him for only a moment. "Do you know what happened here?"

There was no real reason for Ion to be happy. He had recently woken up inside of a very strange, very scary, and very, very tall tower, after all. Regardless, when Ion stepped down into what appeared to be a grand cathedral, a soft and weary smile tugged at the corners of his mouth. It reminded him of his home in Daath—dark and imposing and wonderful—if a bit more unsettling as well as lacking in the familiar comforts of nearby friendship. Ion sighed then ran his hand along the polished wood of a nearby pew. He sat down, folding his pale hands neatly in his lap, and tried to imagine that the disembodied and faint mutterings coming from the other end of the cathedral were those of Yulia’s Score.

The last time she'd been on this floor, it... hadn't ended well. As one might imagine, she didn't make a point of visiting the cathedral often. And why would she? The closest thing her world had to a god was a giant floating one-eyed rock.

Still, that didn't keep her from going to nearby floors, and she was just coming up from the twelfth floor, on her way to the fourteenth, when she saw someone very small vanish through the Cathedral's doors. Her brows knitted together in concern and she quickened her pace, stepping in just as Ion sat down.

"Hey!" She called, though what with the horrible acoustics on this floor, it probably went unheard. She didn't want to frighten him or anything, so she approached him slowly, both her hands up - though her staff was still gripped in one hand. Considering how likely encountering a monster was, she didn't feel comfortable going anywhere without it, and as much as she didn't want to scare him there was no way she was ditching it just to seem less threatening.

Finally, when she was closer, she spoke again. "Hello... I haven't seen you before. Have you just arrived here...?"

Dieu, can this thing not go any faster? [His accent is heavy and distinctly French, the overblown kind you'd hear in movies or in comedy skits.] I feel like we have been moving nonstop for at least ten minutes now!

[He's creeping around floor eighty-six, being very careful not to step inside of the fairy rings. In fact, he refuses to even stand too close to them, though he does seem curious enough not to leave the floor entirely just yet.

His arms are wrapped around his chest protectively, and he can be heard muttering under his breath.]

Honestly, who would put this here? It looks like something Angleterre would have thought up... This place is giving me the creeps!

[ Elevators are nothing new for one who has had to deal with the sub-levels of The Centre for so many years. Elevators so slow to reach the lowest floor? Well that's a new challenge, one that doesn't bother Sydney however, and that beats going down the stairs, with what that implied-- Monsters to find and risking death every other floors, even though he didn't know that much, yet.

So it is with a smile that the psychiatrist would go into the elevator and wait for it to go down. Would there be anyone else, he'd smile and nod at them, hands in pockets. ]

[A woman in a light blue dress and hair adorned in the style of ages far gone stands in the elevator keeping to herself. Aside from the odd feeling of malice she seems to project, she appears to be quite content to stand silently and perpetually smile at no one in particular.]

[Well so far it's been a pretty normal morning in the Tower, or at least as normal as mornings ever got around here. There's another girl in the elevator she doesn't recognize from anywhere, but there's something slightly... off about her. Something unsettling, almost hostile despite the smile on her face.

[ once upon a time, this witch had been a brash but determined young girl with a soul she gave up in return for a single wish. the wish was granted, her magic given life but the girl's story did not end happily ever after.

life is funny, we travel many different roads and ophelia is the result of one such path taken. she is all that remains of that girl; a shell filled to the brim with her grief and despair, striking out at the world she had cursed with her last ounce of humanity.

now the witch stares down an unfamiliar sight. in her fog-covered barrier, she is used to the sight of her horse, her familiar and the odd human that found their path leading to the end of her lance. there were also other humans... ones that left the fog around her a little clearer with familiarity as they came at her with their weapons and magic.

but they fell too and she was left to wander down her never ending path.

was this tower, this creature, these people truly were she had been led? piercing the monster with her lance, the witch tears it in half with haunting ease but her mind still wonders the purpose of it all.

perhaps she would find her answers here... in the corpses of these monsters. ]

There's a young man wearing monk robes, wandering the tower with a curious look on his face. Holding onto his staff, he tries to stay out of anyones way if he can help it. Monsters are quickly sucked into his wind tunnel and ladies... Well, ladies are another story entirely.

This lady will be tending to graves in the graveyard, as per usual. Making sure they're all cleaned and presentable, and it's like someone cares for them. She's probably seeming a tad creepy, especially wearing the kimono she is--white with it crossed the dead way.

[Nessiah had been displeased upon waking up here, but not frightened. There were few things that could frighten him after so many years of death and rebirth, a simple kidnapping would not accomplish it.

The dormitories offered little interest to him, and the staircase seemed the obvious way to proceed. He avoided the glowing step, briefly explored the crystalline caverns, then returned to find the next floor down.

The moment his foot left the staircase his vision went black as the spells he used to see were cut out suddenly. He stumbled, tumbling onto his knees as he landed on the pipe floor.

Nessiah tried to feel his way back to the staircase with his hands, but the pipes were unfamiliar territory and it would be too easy to fall into a hole...]

[It would be Waver's luck that she'd get to the lift just as it filled up and began to ascend. The young El-Melloi has enough confidence in her own abilities that she can defend herself from perverts and other such things at night, but monsters? She's never had to consider that. So, when she walks into one (almost literally), Waver does the sensible thing-- she runs. At least she has enough sense to not scream!]
