I'd have imagined that true classics would age like a fine wine rather than rot like spoilt milk, but if you can still enjoy the writing I suppose it works out well enough.

About how long a span is your 'expiration date', if you don't mind me asking?

Well, if you let them age for a little while, they will taste like a fine wine..but if you wait too long, then it will taste like wine that has mold in it. It's not pleasant.

And the expiration date depends upon the story you're reading and how old it the book already is!

Well, a decade or two is usually way past the expiration date for me. But there might be some exceptions!
