It was harder on her than it was on me.

[After all, he was still alive, while Misaya was dead.]

[Diarmuid cocks an eyebrow at his roommate.]

Is it? Even if it was delayed, you ended her suffering. You granted her wish. She is at peace now. Meanwhile, you still carry your pain and your doubt.

She was only sixteen. She never got a chance to grow up or find love or even make a friend. I'm the only one who can remember her for who she really was.

So it was harder on her.

[He shakes his head sadly.]

You carry the knowledge that she never got those things. The desire to remember her and live for her. Perhaps even to love for her. Your pain is just as great.

[Diarmuid almost says 'to love her' instead of 'to love for her,' but he gets the feeling that might just upset his roommate more.]

[Indeed, it would.]

But we've talked enough of tragic things. How about you tell me about how to fold those paper flowers? I never got even one of those from you.

[Diarmuid laughs a little nervously and rubs at the bad of his head. He's happy to move onto a more cheerful topic, but that one is embarrassing.]

It's not that hard. Oisin taught me. I never sent any of your letters that way because I didn't really think you would want one.

[His voice suddenly gets small.]

Do you really want one or are you just messing with me?

I think...I'd like one.

[If anything, he could learn to fold his letters like that.]

But maybe if you folded it into something other than a flower? Any way to fold it like a bird or something?

Oh, sure. They are lots of things that the paper can be folded into. Some just take a lot more time than others. The flowers look nice, but don't take too much time which is why I use them so much. They also don't require too much paper.

[A small smirk tugs at the corner of his mouth.]

Shall I make you a little pup to call your own?

Wow, really?

[He looks really interested.]

Yeah, it would take a bit of time since it's a complex fold, but I could do that. It wouldn't be too big, though.

[He makes a circle in the palm of his hand.]

Only about that big. Try not to loose him in your corner of the room, okay? I'm no magus so I can't make him come when he's called.

[Lancer bursts out laughing.]

I'll keep good track of him. How can I lose something that cute?

[Lancer grins gently.]
