[A half-grin crept onto his lips.]

I appreciate the compliment, coming from you.

[Mister recklessly, ridiculously stubborn beyond all reason.

Hidetoshi did like to believe his father was proud of his son, he really did. He hadn't acted in a way that was to be applauded until Minato had shown up, but he had changed his ways.

You're welcome. And hey, if it's possible for me to help with that, let me know.

[Though his way of "helping" usually involved storming the fortress and rescuing the prisoner.]

[Haha if it were that simple. But no, Hidetoshi was determined to do it the legal way!!]

The offer is welcome, but I'll have to regretfully decline.

[Glancing up at Lancer's post and out of a morbid, undeniably male teenage interest, asked:] ... What's this about beating the literal shit out of someone?

Oh, that? Well, back when we were all training in Scathach's place, I got to know this kid Lugaid. He was Ferdiad's friend. He was a pretty nice guy and I ended up owing him some favors, so come Medb's cattle raid, he called them in. His brother Larine was scheduled to fight me and he asked me not to kill the guy. And because a promise is a promise, I just roughed him up a little. Wasn't my fault that a few punches to the gut made the guy start shitting himself.
altitonant_emperor: sticks and stones are just (♔ and you fit like a glove)

You punched him hard enough he emptied his bowels into his pants? Impressive, he sounds like he was a punk.

[It is lucky he enjoyed history lessons back in school because otherwise all those weird irish names would have distracted him, and it is also lucky he knows Lancer is from a hones-to-god mythologic setting or he would have thought he was pulling his leg.] Not to be cliche, but you have led quite an interesting life.

[personal profile] puppy_lancer 2013-02-14 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
He was. Just a stupid little punk.

[Not that Lancer wasn't a punk himself.]

Of course I did. The world was an exciting place back then.

[Yeah, Lancer is totally a incorruptible punk to the bone.

Laughs!
]

Sounds a little too exciting for someone like me, but I can see why it appeals to you.

Maybe you'd do better living in Saber or Diarmuid's time. I've got a feeling they'd like your rules.

[But would I like the plague that is the question]

Hmm, would they? I see. Knightly conduct is an admirable ideal, though its actual application is sketchy.

They're the most noble people I know. You won't find anyone better at applying that chivalry.
altitonant_emperor: murderers liars thieves moving in darkened rows (♔ I had my doubts)

[Since this is a meme, curious:]

By the way, who is Saber's identity?
puppy_lancer: <user name=cu-chulainn> (there for me.)

[personal profile] puppy_lancer 2013-02-16 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
Arturia Pendragon. Got put down into history as King Arthur.
altitonant_emperor: was not expecting that in the slightest (♔ there is torturous electricity in here)

[personal profile] altitonant_emperor 2013-02-16 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
[

that's impressive.

even if he never read the Aurthian chronicles in-depth, he knows who that is.
]

Huh. Then that belief in the nobility of their chivalry is incredibly well-founded.

Hell yeah, she's the King of Knights.

And I guess you already know it, but Diarmuid was a knight of the Fianna. We're different types of knights.

[For one thing, the Red Branch had much looser standards.]
altitonant_emperor: yes i'm a douche but i'm a handsome douche (♔ those aren't just empty words)

[personal profile] altitonant_emperor 2013-02-17 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Hm. Historically, I was always under the impression King Arthur was a man.

[A nod. He is currently reading up on that irish mythology and really he is dying to ask who the hell came up with something as weirdass as 'warp spasms.']

yes. That much is obvious.

[... ... Lancer, you and your loose standards.]
puppy_lancer: <user name=aicons> (And I shall hear)

[personal profile] puppy_lancer 2013-02-17 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
She was a man in my world. And she disguised herself as a man back in hers.

[Are you actually trying to find logic in mythology?]
altitonant_emperor: is that a cigarette butt on the floor (♔ i might lose a friend as a consequence)

That makes sense.

[..........................yes.

No, not really.
