okay so as a first note rox's canonpoint is literally between him falling off the damn train station tower and soulbondmagicallytalking to kairi. so when he first woke up he assumed he was in the hospital
and was pretty oblivious and avoidant of the truth for a while because repression is roxas' secret weapon tbqh

oh and then the power went out for the first time, ven and him made a fire to pass the time, and then eiji fell for a phantom and went beserk and frozemurdered roxas

this is sort of the beginning of his long, awkward, weird descent in to the death brigade. for you see, he woke up after that death terrified as fuck of eiji. who, mind you, was his third room mate. so he would not sleep in his own room.

what happens when you don't sleep in your room? you die. so, on the dot, he died in a little ridiculous shanty he made in the library. CSI Animus eventually figured out "herp maybe you should sleep in your room instead", Eiji apologized, and Rox settled a little.
