1. Cafeteria
Well, top of the mornin’ to y’all in Animus! Guess what day it is? Well, it’s the first day of Jason month and you guys know what that means? The cafeteria will be full of nutrition bars today! Enjoy your absolutely tasteless meals while you can because you’ll be forced to eat these for the whole month.
2. Shadow Children (Event)
So, the elevator mysteriously exploded! Who, why and how? Well, no matter who is responsible, some creepy shadows are following you around, speaking in the voices of your loved ones from your world and blaming you for their predicament! Unless someone whom you have a strong bond with in the tower drives those shadows away, your collar will gradually go paler and you will die in a few days! What do you guys do? 3. Elevator
Sheesh, it’s a rather long way from the top floor to the cafeteria, isn’t it? About an hour, actually. In the meantime, someone else might be in the elevator with you! Start up a conversation? Ignore each other? Start singing in the elevator? The choice is yours!
4. Valentine’s Chocolates! (Event)
5. Floor 29
This floor has seemed pretty peaceful so far, the maze isn't all that hard and the garden that lies beyond it is rather lovely. Still it seems best to head back now that the sun is about to set and nighttime is approaching fast. ...Is that just the leaves rustling in the wind behind you, or is it something more?
6. Floor Seventy-Nine
Fancy some deep-sea diving? Grab some scuba gear, hop off the staircase, and explore some ruins! Just be careful you don't run out of air or run into a shark (or run into a shark while you're running low on air). Of course, if you can breathe underwater or just don't need to breathe at all, then the sharks would be your only worry. Try and find some treasure!
7. Anywhere!
Whoops, you've gotten distracted, or lost, or you're still climbing up the stairs when night falls. It's time for the monsters to start prowling--and one's got its eyes (or whatever sensory organs it may have) on you! Time to fight back, or time to run?

[..Johan might want to know why a cheery five-year-old knew exactly how painful death was, and if he asked, Yotsuba would happily tell him.]
And they should! Names are really nice! Maybe his Daddy didn't give him one when he was little! But..maybe he could give himself one! Or we could give him one!

That's very smart of you, to run from monsters. I wonder why the people in the book didn't run. [He stills. He's heard about death in this place, but he hasn't experienced it for himself.] Can you tell me, about dying? What is it like?
[He gestures toward the book with a slight movement of his hand.]
That could be. Do you think his father didn't give him a name because he forgot? Or on purpose? But we haven't gotten to the end of the story yet. Maybe he gets a name.

[As Yotsuba spoke about death, her face fell a little, but she did her best to act brave and smile again as the man spoke.]
Oh..His Daddy wouldn't forget his name! That would be really mean! But Yotsuba's sure he does! The Mermaid got a soul, even though that story was really sad, so the monster might get a name here!

I'm sure it hurt very much. But people don't really die here, do they? If they come back. It's more like they stop working and come back again. Even though it hurts a lot, they're not gone.
You don't think his daddy could have been mean to him? What's your daddy like?
[He nods, smiling.] We'll have to wait and see what happens.

[Yotsuba, of course, would return the smile, glancing at the book every now and then.] We will! Can you turn the page?

[He nods, still smiling, and obediently turns the page.] Let's finish it together.

Why are you happy that people can really die here? That would be sad! And it's scary here sometimes..but it can be a lot of fun with Enoch and Luci and Edgy and Diarmuid and a lot of good people! And Daddy's super nice! Daddy's and Jumbo's souls are here, but the bad people hid them, so the grown-ups are all trying to find them!
[With that, she would peer over at the next page, trying to make out what it said.]

I don't want Enoch and Luci and Edgy and Diarmuid to die, either. But death is part of what makes us human. So I'm glad, that they haven't changed us, even if it's sad. We wouldn't be ourselves, if we were never sad, if we never died. We would be what someone else had made us.
[He shows her the picture of the monster entering the castle and finding the ill prince lying in his bed.]
Oh, you're welcome! If you actually decide to app in, I'm sure it would be a lot of fun to see more-
It would be..and Luci's not human, and we come back from dying, but it would be sad if we couldn't be ourselves! It our souls were messed with, that would be sad!
[While that picture looked cute, it made Yotsuba a little worried for the Prince.]
If he gonna get gobbled too?

That's right, there are people who aren't human here. I'm still not used to it, but I like meeting different kinds of people.
Every living thing dies. Or most things do. [Some people are a little different here, as Yotsuba pointed out.] It's a part of living. Can we really be alive, if we can't die?
[Johan's smile returns.]
You'll have to wait and see. I don't want to ruin the ending for you.
Ah, alright then! I'm not trying to pressure you or anything. ><; But I don't think you have to-
I didn't know anyone that wasn't human before coming here, but it's a lot of fun to meet good people, whether they're human or not! And we can be alive, even if we can't die! There's just no end to being alive right now!
[Yotsuba looked up at the man, then back down at the picture book before nodding.] Okay then..hopefully he'll be okay!
No, I didn't feel pressured, I really appreciate it! Thanks again.
What a nice way to think of it. There's no end to being alive. How happy it sounds. I only wish our friends and families could be alive with us.
I hope so, too. The monster's promising to make him strong. He's always kept his promises, but it hasn't turned out so well so far.

And maybe the Prince will say no to the monster. That way, he won't get eaten!

Death is when our souls leave our bodies. Maybe they will return, but now, they are dead. But as you taught me, Yotsuba, people can die here and not come back.
Let's see, shall we? [Johan turns the page, reading aloud:]
"If you'll heal my sickness, I'll give you my name." The monster jumped into the boy's stomach. The king was delighted. "The prince is well. The prince is well."

[...Well..that didn't bode well for the Prince. This page, along with the words Johan calmly wove, unnerved Yotsuba so much that her smile faded.]
"Poor Prince..he's gonna die and the King's gonna be sad."

What if it doesn't happen? What if your Daddy's soul isn't put back? Will he be dead then? Or will he live forever, a soul on its own, without his Yotsuba, who he loves so much?
[Johan continues to read:]
The monster liked the boy's name. He liked living in the castle. So even when he was hungry he stayed put. Every day he was so hungry, but he stayed put.

[Sorry, Johan. Yotsuba was a pretty simple child, and even though his words did unsettle her a little, they weren't enough to make her cry. Yet.]
It'll be put back! Don't worry! Enoch promised he'd save Daddy and the others, and he doesn't forget promises, so it'll be fine! Everything will be restored and I can play with Daddy again!
[While it was good that the monster hadn't eaten the prince, it wasn't good that he was hungry. And..looking at the pictures, Yotsuba discovered something.]
Will the monster eat someone else then? And..you look a lot like the Prince. Do you have a monster inside of you too?

[Johan doesn't appear to mind. He continues to smile.]
You're very kind. Thank you. I'll try not to worry, but I miss my friends. I'm sad without them. I don't know if I can believe Enoch. Sometimes people say things that aren't true, because they want other people, or themselves, to feel better. It's nice, and they're good people, but I think it's better to know the truth, don't you?
I have a universe inside me. The whole world is in here. [He touches a hand to the center of his forehead.]

[..Her smile actually manages to return somewhat as she spoke and as she puzzled over what this man said and did. As she spoke, she kept staring at his forehead.]

They don't mean to lie, but people can be wrong. I know they're going to try very hard. They'll try their best, but sometimes, even when people try their best, it isn't enough.
[Johan's hand lingers near his head, between his eyes.]
All kinds of things live in this world. Monsters and demons and angels and humans. Everyone lives inside it.

It'll be enough! Enoch worked for heaven and Lucifel's an Angel and Diarmuid's a knight, and I can support the grown-ups, so it'll be alright! It'll be enough! Enoch promised, after all!
[..And if Johan didn't stop her, Yotsuba was going to try and climb up his leg to get to his lap so that she could have a better look.]
Monsters and demons and angels..can Yotsuba see? And can you get rid of the demons and monsters? The monsters will hurt you, and the demons will gobble up your soul!

I hope he keeps his promise. I've seen terrible things happen, because people didn't keep their promises, or because they made mistakes, even if they meant well. [Johan does look truly sad, at this.] I don't want that to happen again.
[He doesn't object as Yotsuba climbs up into his lap, letting her do as she wills.]

[..Since this man looked pretty sad, Yotsuba knew she had to hug him so that he could feel a bit better, so she adjusted herself so that she was sitting on her knees in his lap so that she could try and hug him..as she looked at his forehead, trying to peer in.]
I see a loot of smoke..and fire..and a lot of people cooking food in a forest! They all seem really happy!
