To get you started, here are a few optional prompts for you to use if you so wish:
1. Cafeteria
Well, top of the mornin’ to y’all in Animus! Guess what day it is? Well, it’s the first day of Jason month and you guys know what that means? The cafeteria will be full of nutrition bars today! Enjoy your absolutely tasteless meals while you can because you’ll be forced to eat these for the whole month.
2. Shadow Children (Event)
So, the elevator mysteriously exploded! Who, why and how? Well, no matter who is responsible, some creepy shadows are following you around, speaking in the voices of your loved ones from your world and blaming you for their predicament! Unless someone whom you have a strong bond with in the tower drives those shadows away, your collar will gradually go paler and you will die in a few days! What do you guys do? More info found here: http://animus-ooc.dreamwidth.org/396347.html
3. Elevator
Sheesh, it’s a rather long way from the top floor to the cafeteria, isn’t it? About an hour, actually. In the meantime, someone else might be in the elevator with you! Start up a conversation? Ignore each other? Start singing in the elevator? The choice is yours!
4. Valentine’s Chocolates! (Event)
5. Floor 29
This floor has seemed pretty peaceful so far, the maze isn't all that hard and the garden that lies beyond it is rather lovely. Still it seems best to head back now that the sun is about to set and nighttime is approaching fast. ...Is that just the leaves rustling in the wind behind you, or is it something more?
6. Floor Seventy-Nine
Fancy some deep-sea diving? Grab some scuba gear, hop off the staircase, and explore some ruins! Just be careful you don't run out of air or run into a shark (or run into a shark while you're running low on air). Of course, if you can breathe underwater or just don't need to breathe at all, then the sharks would be your only worry. Try and find some treasure!
7. Anywhere!
Whoops, you've gotten distracted, or lost, or you're still climbing up the stairs when night falls. It's time for the monsters to start prowling--and one's got its eyes (or whatever sensory organs it may have) on you! Time to fight back, or time to run?
Michelle Cheung | R.O.D the TV
[For anyone passing by, it's hard to miss the frantic blonde woman darting back and forth between shelves, picking up books excitedly, almost randomly. There's a look in her eyes akin to crazed as she stacks them haphazardly in her arms.]
So many! So many books! [She's absolutely giddy, and her book-related hysteria only seems to be becoming louder and more exuberant the more books she piles into her arms.]
[Michelle can--and will--be in here all day unless forcibly removed. If you're lucky (if you can consider this lucky), you'll catch her when the initial craze seems to have passed its way through her system. In which case she'll be nearly buried within a literal pile she has formed with the books taken from the shelves. This hardly seems to have deterred her from reading one of them. In fact, she seems quite comfortable.]
And you have just made my day with this. :3
Pardon me, but what are you reading?
EEE I'm glad to hear it! :D
Fortunately, asking her questions related to what she was reading was a very, very good tactic.
Michelle doesn't close the book, but she does smile vibrantly, her eyes all a-sparkle as she looks up at the young girl who had approached her.]
Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter! Have you read this before? It really is an incredible piece of work!
I've thought about making an account for a manga version of Maggie, but I've never been able to find
[For better or worse, Tohko was very similar in how she could get sucked into a story and forget about the world around her, so Tohko just kept on smiling happily when the woman brought up The Scarlet Letter.]
Of course I have! I am a book girl, after all! Plus, it's considered his magnum opus! It would be a shame to have not read it at least once. It's so delicious..like a batch of gingersnaps that are just a tad bitter in the center. It's wonderful!
YOU SHOULD DO IT! O: Though I can see how that could be hard!
[Michelle's eyes light up like they're filled with stars. She squeals excitedly and cradles the book to her chest--not bothering to save her place because she's read it several times before.]
Wonderful! I'm so absolutely thrilled to hear you say so!
[And it was true, too! Every single word! Not that Michelle generally went around comparing books to types of foods, but that was still a delightful comparison to have made. In fact, that gives her an idea.] T-That was so beautiful...
[Looking almost emotional, tears brimming at the corners of her eyes, Michelle reaches up with her arms to beckon the self-proclaimed book girl forward and attempts to take hold of her hands, as well.] Have you ever considered becoming a writer, yourself?
I PROBABLY WILL EVENTUALLY, since the Paper Sisters are too much fun to pass up.
[If Tohko had been given a chance, she would have thanked this woman for calling her description beautiful and would have said that she could compare food to books too, if she thought about it long enough. However, she moved forward when the woman beckoned her to, smiling like she had found a friend in an unfamiliar city. While Michelle would be able to take hold of Tohko's hands, the question made her sigh a little.]
Oh, I can't write! I'm a book girl, not a chef. I've tried cooking up a few wonderful stories, but they always taste dull and diluted, and never what I want them to taste like at all!
IT'S TRUE I love them. ;u;
[Michelle only holds on tighter at the admission. She sniffs in the clear effort it's taking her to not burst into tears. Still, she seems to have no problems being loud and enthusiastic.]
But you must solider onward, into the world of literary genius! I believe in you! If you write because you love it, your books will love you, too!
[She releases one of Tohko's hands so she can wipe her eyes on the back of her sleeve, then beams up at her.]
Of course, I'm a terrible, terrible writer, so I guess I wouldn't really know! [Michelle giggles, but it's nothing short of the truth. Not that it bothers her. She's much too invested in all the books there are to read and re-read to really be upset about her lack of creative talent. As long as there are others out there who keep writing, it's good enough to keep her happy!]
They are all wonderful. x3 And I'll have to watch the rest of the anime for him then! I've only-
[This..is kind of reminding her of the days back in the book club, and of the feelings she had back when her universe wasn't destroyed. At Michelle's words though, Tohko used her free hand to try and pat her on the head, smiling as she spoke.]
Well, if you're a terrible writer and want to be one, the only thing to do is keep writing and reading and get it reviewed by people! If you have a story, it would be wonderful if you tried working on it..but I don't really have any stories in my head, you see. I'm a book girl, so I tend to focus on the eating part of the process.
