1. Cafeteria

Well, top of the mornin’ to y’all in Animus! Guess what day it is? Well, it’s the first day of Jason month and you guys know what that means? The cafeteria will be full of nutrition bars today! Enjoy your absolutely tasteless meals while you can because you’ll be forced to eat these for the whole month.

2. Shadow Children (Event)

So, the elevator mysteriously exploded! Who, why and how? Well, no matter who is responsible, some creepy shadows are following you around, speaking in the voices of your loved ones from your world and blaming you for their predicament! Unless someone whom you have a strong bond with in the tower drives those shadows away, your collar will gradually go paler and you will die in a few days! What do you guys do? 3. Elevator

Sheesh, it’s a rather long way from the top floor to the cafeteria, isn’t it? About an hour, actually. In the meantime, someone else might be in the elevator with you! Start up a conversation? Ignore each other? Start singing in the elevator? The choice is yours!

4. Valentine’s Chocolates! (Event)

It’s Ruana month and you have all been infected with a disease by some mysterious teddy bears! Suddenly, you receive a box of chocolates which can temporarily cure your infection but many of them have special side effects. Effects can be seen here: http://animus-ooc.dreamwidth.org/120554.html

5. Floor 29

This floor has seemed pretty peaceful so far, the maze isn't all that hard and the garden that lies beyond it is rather lovely. Still it seems best to head back now that the sun is about to set and nighttime is approaching fast. ...Is that just the leaves rustling in the wind behind you, or is it something more?

6. Floor Seventy-Nine

Fancy some deep-sea diving? Grab some scuba gear, hop off the staircase, and explore some ruins! Just be careful you don't run out of air or run into a shark (or run into a shark while you're running low on air). Of course, if you can breathe underwater or just don't need to breathe at all, then the sharks would be your only worry. Try and find some treasure!

7. Anywhere!

Whoops, you've gotten distracted, or lost, or you're still climbing up the stairs when night falls. It's time for the monsters to start prowling--and one's got its eyes (or whatever sensory organs it may have) on you! Time to fight back, or time to run?

[Then Luke would be hilariously wrong, since this Asch has been here for months, and also never even got to Eldrant. If he had, he might not be quite as hateful now, maybe.]

Tear, Natalia, Anise, your Ion, and the original Ion.

[His expression at the last says "I know it doesn't make any sense, just go with it."]

[He is definitely far from correct, then. At the list of names, his face lights up a little. Then softens. He has a slight mixture of emotions. Tear is here, so that means she is safe. He is more than just a little happy at that fact, of course.

And of course he is happy that Natalia and Anise are safe. Ion, though. They brings feelings just slightly similar to those he felt regarding Asch. Original Ion, though? Well, Ion is a replica, right? Well, this is even more unexpected that finding his younger self and Asch, here... combined.

He is unable to ignore the feeling of regret at them all being stuck in this place, like him. This place is obviously terrible, so...

Okay, he is going to stop thinking about all of this, now, before he gives himself a headache. Back to the conversation, now.]

Tear's here, ...too, then?

[In spite of his being confused, he has to smile just a bit. The smile quickly fades, though, and he lets out a sigh. So does that mean there is a possibility that Guy and Jade perished with the rest of Auldrant? After all, that letter stated in a clear manner that the world was destroyed. He has a sick feeling in the pit of his stomach, for a moment.]

[Used to it, Asch has done this entire song and dance before - his expression is almost bored as Luke sorts his thoughts out.]

One of her, yes.

[Which probably bears a further explanation. No way for Luke to know that this is the third Tear, after all.]

Technically, only one person is saved from each world. We're all from parallel Auldrants, which is how there can be two of you, and all of us from different points in time.

[He doesn't ask about Luke's. His timepoint is "after he knows he's a replica," which is a small blessing that Asch is surprisingly grateful for.]

[Luke blinks at the explanation, before looking down with a wrinkling brow. He scratches the side of his face as he takes this in. Surprisingly, though... it starts to make sense.]

I... see.

[The response is short and sweet, because what else could be said to something like that? Reality, as he knew it, is completely gone. With that, he picks up his cup of water and takes a sip. As it is lowered from his lips, the replica's eyes land on the other. The question is burning to be asked, so with that...]

What's the last thing you remember?

[It's been a long time since anyone asked that question of him; usually he's the one asking, and he only rarely bothers to give his temporal reference in return. It's not that important, anymore.]

...When Van returned at the Absorption Gate. That's the last time we met, anyway.

[A pause, and then - ]

I already know that I would have died. So if you're going to try and save me from that, don't bother.

[He tries to hide his feelings towards this, but it's written there. Luke's face tenses a bit, the sad expression making itself known. He forces it away, before turning his face away. No trying to make up a lie. No trying to hide the truth of anything. Just silence.

What's there to be said? He actually draws a momentary blank, before deciding he really wants to change the subject.]

So, how... long, exactly, have you been here?

[This question's a pretty common one, too. There's not much change in his expression; dealing with Luke being sad isn't his job.]

By their calendar, nine months give or take. They're only half as long as ours.

[So only four and a half of Auldrant's months, then? Luke looks back to Asch with a confirming nod.]

Well, um... How are you... [He hesitates, as though making sure as to how he wants to ask it]... dealing with it?

It's living.

[A pause, then he relents slightly.]

There's a few people I can trust to have my back.

[More than he ever had on Auldrant, at any rate. There's an implication there - that Luke isn't one of them.]

[Either he misses the implication, or he is simply still used to Asch acting that way toward him. He simply gives a nod, before propping an elbow onto the table. As he runs his fingers through the back part of his hair, he stares down at the bowl.

He seems to hold a curiosity, though, regarding who Asch deems reliable in a place such as this.]
