silly meme of silliness
Your character's worst enemy has now been brought to the tower. (For optional extra horrible, they're your character's assigned roommate.)

Never.
In fact, the anger is so strong that it reminds Diarmuid far too much of a certain rage that never quite seems to leave him anymore. Not since he had been betrayed during the war.
And that is why he is so scared. The last person he wants to feel that kind of anger coming from is his friend.
Fortunately, it doesn't take him long to find Waver and he's hardly stopped moving when the question is out of his mouth.]
What is wrong?

[Anger faltered and gave way to what little tact Waver had; how was he supposed to tell Lancer of all people? His hands curled into fists at his side as he tried not to outright snap.]
Don't panic. Everything is going to be fine--I'll handle it myself.

[His eyes narrow slightly.]
However, if you do not calm yourself and tell me what is wrong, I that may change. You are my friend and I will not stand by while you are so upset. Who has angered you so?

[Diarmuid's voice drops off as a terrifying thought crosses his mind. His face loses all color and the voice he speaks with is suddenly very small.]
He's here, isn't he? Kayneth...

[Waver himself seemed much calmer, though that anger was still smoldering beneath the surface.]
You trust me, don't you?

We do everything together. We will face him together as well.
[His tone of voice suggests he will accept no other answer.]

...I would have been fine with fighting him alone.

The point is, you don't have to. I want to be there with you. He might be able to deny one or the other of us, but both will make it much harder for him.

[Diarmuid puts an arm around the other man's shoulders and gives them a squeeze.]
Lets go make him sorry he ever hurt either of us, shall we?
