[ One of the panels in it's face raises, almost like raising an eyebrow. It moves its head slightly to the left, curious. ]

Pistols do not require strength or advanced knowledge to wield. Merely semi-accurate aim and thermal clips. You would be safer.

That may be true, but... [ Looking between the being before her and back down at her hands, she tries to consider the weight of having to kill something. ] It's a heavy cost on one's will is all.

To take a life, even out of self defense, can leave someone damaged in ways they could never recover from.

We do not understand. You would rather die to non-sapient creatures than defend yourself? This is illogical. They are not sapient life. There is a high statistical probability that more will attack you shortly.

[ If it was organic it would sigh. As it is, it takes a moment to look Nunnally over and... reaches into its own wiring, messing with something.

There's a few sparks as it reconnects wires and reroutes power, removing a small circular device and placing it on Nunnally's wheelchair, to which a barrier forms over it, visible for a brief second as it crackles to life, and then it disappears. If she attempts to move out of it, she will find she can move quite fine. ]

This is our Mass Effect field generator. We are equipped with extraneous shields that can repower. We will give it to you. It will prevent both high-caliber fire and low-speed blunt force trauma. However, the shields will only withstand so many hits. We suggest being quick to find cover so that they may regenerate. In the event they go down, you will need to find cover quickly and give the system time to reboot.
