ITS TIME FOR A....

HOW TO PLAY:
You are a new arrival to the Tower of Animus! Or maybe you've been here a while, we just don't know! Take a look around, just be careful not to poke your heads into the wrong dorm room, or trip up on the wrong floor...things can get nasty around here! (Just make sure you specify in your tag a setting. Or multiple settings if you want to give people options!)
Use this post to play around with characters you may potentially wish to app, or use it for characters you'd never be able to app, but want to play in the setting anyway! Link the post around to friends, give them a feel for our game, and most importantly....
HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!

Geth communicate at the speed of light. Organic vocal communication is highly inefficient. We are not dissimilar. However, your means of communication is difficult to translate for most organics. It is somewhat less specific. This would be a problem with those who do not understand.

[She also nods in response to his statement. In truth, it was absolutely right. Music was Sona's preferred method of communication, but there were so many people who missed the message. When it comes down to it, there are far more efficient things she could be doing to get her points across. But... it's not the same. Even if the Geth won't understand, she'll do her best to explain it, typing once more]
but the ones who can understand never mistake what the song says

We do not understand the desire for less efficient communication. This is similar to organics who willfully submit to loud noises called 'music' without reason. But it is what you have chosen, so we will accept this answer as satisfactory.
[ A pause of about... maybe one and a half seconds here. ]
We are called Legion. You are?

[But that comes later. For now, Legion has asked the one question that she simply cannot answer with music alone, and her fingers peck out a simple response]

Human Sona. You are captive on this facility as well?

[But all things take time, and right now it's time to focus on other things. She nods in response to the question, then points to the date on the terminal screen - at least, she's pretty sure it's the date - to indicate that she only arrived today. Looking back at Legion, she tilts her head quizzically, the question she's 'asking' hopefully obvious]

We have been here for six hours, thirty-two minutes and point 351 seconds. In short, we are 'new'.

[As much as Sona hates to admit it, there are too many unknown factors at work here for her to be prideful about communication right now. So it's back to the keyboard once more]
can you tell me more about this place you seem to know more than me and i cannot feel a link with whomever summoned us here

We will provide a general explanation. This is a 'saving' facility, not unlike a Geth Hub. Organics and synthetics are being stored here from their home worlds of origin, and not by choice. There were many data blocks in place we could not bypass, but we did learn some things of marginal value. Administrators claim that we and others have been saved from the destruction of their world. This is not possible, as we were off-world when shutdown occurred, and our vessel has survived even the worst of attacks.
[ It pauses. ]
In short, this is a 'prison' with benefits mostly suited to organics. Living space, food, and over fourty floors seem to be accessible. Many floors appear to be dangerous to some degree. Data exchange with the Network has also told us that non-sapient creatures become hostile and attack anything they find at night on all floors but the topmost dormitory living spaces.
[ This is the most generalized explanation it can give. ]
