[There is a Mitsuru in your midst, tower. A very confused and concerned Mitsuru, sitting upon a log in one of the more forsety floors, with her chin resting on a hand and a very determined look on her face. She will make sense of this tower if its the last thing she does.]

[FINALLY some good news. Shinji scans from behind to make sure she has a SEES armband first. With the way the entire place is right now, he can never be too certain if she comes from a place where she's not.]

[Indeed she does have an SEES armband, and she's also getting the sneaky suspicion that she's being watched. She had thought that the forest would be big enough avoid others and have some time to herself.

Turning now and...

Oh shit.

She was not expecting that, and she was not expecting to gawk. Because Kirijos never stand around with their jaws dropping to the ground. But this is truly a jaw dropping moment, and she quickly gets up from her log to face him.]

[Evidently, he would have liked Mitsuru from his own world. However, knowing the odds were currently 3 to 1 in his favor, her reaction to him is, sadly, not too surprising. She doesn't seem to expect him to be alive.

But at least she has a SEES armband, so he'll take his small victories as they come. Shinji's disappointment is barely visible on his face, but it is heard in his voice. The you're supposed to be dead shit hits a lot more when it comes from a closer friend. Not that he'd ever admit her as such.]

[He keeps both his hands in his pockets, but she might notice that he's not in his usual slumped position that plaugued him in the last three years, but standing more upright.]

[Normally, she probably would be able to catch onto something like his posture, but the shock of just seeing him breathing is enough to make her ignorant on the matter.

She just stands there until she collects her wits and walks around the log she was once sitting on to get just a bit closer to him. She's trying to get back her composure, back to the steely and professional expression that the Kirijo family possesses, but the pure shock doesn't leave her face completely.]

I-- [Clearing her throat.] You... look well, Shinjiro.

[There were so many ways he could have addressed that. So why was his reaction a small laugh? Even he looked surprised at himself for doing it.]

Dammit! Sorry I just....I was expecting you to say something like that, but its bizarre to hear.

Minato. Minato Arisato. But... are you saying that someone else lead you through Tartarus?

[She really just kind of wants to know why he's here and alive right now and not really beat around the bush. But this could lead to important information about the tower.]

[She approaches very quietly, feelings conflicted. What if she doesn't know her? In the end she decides that Mitsuru is Mitsuru, so she stops in front of the other redhead and waves nervously.]

[Unfortunately, dear Minako, her feelings aren't quite as conflicted as yours. She snaps to attention at her name and stares blankly at Minako. Mitsuru can't place this girl, but if her name and the uniform she wore meant anything, she knows her. Maybe a new student perhaps?

She gets up, lightly dusting her skirt as she does.]

[She feels her heart drop to her stomach and a lump grow in her throat. This is a different Mitsuru. Probably SEES Minato's Mitsuru. Even so, it's Mitsuru, so she gives her a smile, as best as she can manage without letting on her disappointment.]

Um, actually I was going to ask you that! Since you're new here and all.

[Mitsuru gives her a light smile in return. There's something about this girl that she can't quite pinpoint. Something almost familiar? But she knows she's never seen her before.

Still, she won't ignore a friendly face.]

[Still the same Mitsuru, yup. She clasps her hands behind her back and rocks on her heels.]

Not at all, go ahead! I'm still kind of new myself so I might not know everything you ask, but I know some others who could if we need them.

Any information that you can provide would be most appreciated, no matter how little or irrelevant. But there is no pressure to answer beyond your ability.

[She can't help it. There's something about this girl that makes Mitsuru want reassure her. Maybe it's because Minako knows her and called her out by name.]

First of all... is what one of the notes wrote about true? The one about worlds having been destroyed and being saved.

[How did she make that so polite and yet so sympathetic? Mitsuru-senpai baffles her sometimes, to be sure.]

There's a possibility there is, but I won't believe it until I see it with my own eyes.

[They had worked so hard to save it, after all. Several universes over, in fact.]

She nods firmly. It's not exactly an answer to her question, but it's somehow relieving to hear.]

It appears that we share the same sentiments on the matter. I was hoping there would be some concrete evidence to support the note's claim, but it might be impossible if it's indeed true.

[This is the voice of a very familiar boy, sounding...quite surprised. If she turns to look, Minato is standing at a distance from her. His SEES armband is worn on his arm, as always.

[She does turn, because that voice is unmistakable in her mind. And she never would have thought that she'd hear it again.

She's unaware of the other Minato running around, so the armband doesn't have as much effect on her.]

That told him enough. Mitsuru is from further ahead in the future than him, at a time where he's dead.]

I did. [She stands up, straight and firm. Or at least as much as she can in this state. The confusing letter, and finding Minato alive.

Man, there better be a damn good explanation for all this.]
