We could just pretend it never happened.

[She tried to turn away, finding that she couldn't.]

...Well, t-that is s-something we can do...

[Amelia is not having any more luck with this.]

We're stuck!

[She looks around despairingly and swallowed.]

So... I guess we have to kiss then.

[ladyliberty]

I guess we do. [Amelia is not normally shy about kissing anyone, but even if she's gotten more used to Veronica lately, the stitches on her face still sort of weird her out a bit. What if her mouth is all clammy?]

[Veronica is in no way clammy. She's as human as Amelia is being a personification of a state notwithstanding. She was more concerned with the fact that she actually had to kiss someone.]

S-so... should w-we start?

[Amelia closes her eyes and leans in, bracing herself for something gross. Once she realizes that Veronica's skin is perfectly warm, she noticeably relaxes.]

[Veronica tenses slightly when Amelia leans in, feeling the older woman's lips on hers. She expects it to be quite gross, but it's acutally kind of okay.

She leans forward to make it easier.]

[Amelia is actually an expert at kissing. And now that there's nothing to worry about, she's kinda getting into it. She rests her hand lightly on Veronica's hip, flicking her tongue out across her lips.]

[Veronica was not an expert, and was more than not following Amelia's example. She hesitantly puts a hand on Amelia's back and deepens the kiss, opening her mouth slightly.]

[Actually, this isn't so bad! Amelia will wait for Veronica to make the first move toward stopping.]

[It's not actually. And yeah, they should probably stop.

Slowly, Veronica pulls away. She's breathing slowly and her face is a little flushed.]

I... uh...heh

[ladyliberty]

[Amelia's cheeks are pink as well, and she's smiling.]

Wow, that's been a while. You're not half bad!

I, er, uh...

[she blushes, looking away.]

Thanks... you're uh, really good.

[ladyliberty]

[Amelia grins. V i c t o r y!] Well, I've had a lot of practice.

[stitchedupbodyguard]

[She looks back at her, raising an eyebrow.]

I bet you have.

[ladyliberty]

What can I say?

[She shrugged at that, a faint smirk on her face.]

[ladyliberty]

[Amelia takes an experimental step backwards.] Well, it looks like we're not stuck anymore.

[stitchedupbodyguard]

[She does as well.]

No, I guess not. Huh, that's all it takes.

Hey, whaddaya mean 'that's all?'

Just a kiss. It was all it took to let us leave.

It probably didn't even need to be on the lips.
