The Mistletoe Meme
Oh no, mistletoe!
SHOOT. Who put that there?! Well, you’re caught - pucker up!
How to Play
- Post your character and canon in the subject line
- Next person who responds is the one you’re caught under the mistletoe with!
- Go as awkward, sweet, or embarrassing as you like! (Quick cheek peck? Full French? Sure! But you have to kiss or the Nargles will get you!)
- Comment, Tag, and catch others under the mistletoe. Have fun
Stolen from Ruby City.
Sir Lancelot du Lac/The Servant Berserker . Fate/Zero

Hello again, Knight of the Lake.
no subject
[Lancelot bows his head in Passing-- or rather, attempting to pass. For he cannot move, and the Priest himself is making no better progress forward than he.
Lancelot stands, practically chest to shoulder with the Man, and raises a questioning brow.]
Since I doubt this Magic is any of your Doing, it must be some Device of this Place...

But his hands can move. He proves this by curiously laying his hand to the Servants chest. ]
It appears so.
[ At this close proximity, he has to tip his head up to meet Lancelot's gaze properly -- with that glance, he notices what is lurking even higher, and therein lies the explanation.
Kirei's frown deepens. ]

I take it you assign significance to that Vine there-- and some unpleasant one, at that.
no subject
[ Kirei frowns somewhat, drawing his hand back again ]
A kiss is the expected tradition.

A tilt of his dark head and slight raise of one brow are his reply in turn.]
I see.
Is the definition one you would assign?
no subject
In comparison, I find this paralysis to be a more unfortunate side effect.
Ancient Tag: Feel Free to Ignore If You Wish!
[A slight turn of his head brings him nearly nose to nose with the impassive young Priest.]
I suppose just as every Curse must have its Answer, so every Lock must have its Key-- will you suffer the remedy, then?
as if i could ignore this
It seems inevitable, Knight of the Lake.
You have my consent.
/swooning like a maiden fair
[In Lancelot's experience, natural magic may not be broken or fulfilled by half-measures, and so he applies himself accordingly. It requires only a slight tilt of his head to press his lips to the Priest's, to slip his tongue between them at their involuntary parting. The man's mouth is pleasantly warm, and tastes of nothing in particular save his essence-- whatever unnameable flavor that might be.]
fans self
He does not expect the slick warmth of Lancelot's tongue inside his mouth. On instinct, his mouth parts wider. Lancelot's kiss is cool, like the water of the lake from which he gains his title. His next inhale is sharp, and his hand raises to touch the knight's chest. ]
/becomes a factor in climate change
The weight of the hand on his chest is-- thought provoking. Gratified to feel the Priest open to him, Lancelot exhales on a sigh as he deepens the kiss, slipping a hand around the younger man's broad back to rest it lightly between his shoulder blades.
He was ever a worldly man, given to earthy passions-- here he is indulging himself, and knows it, for surely the spell must the broken, but as long as the priest allows it, he will not break the embrace.
POLAR VORTEX
But there is nothing.
Lancelot's kiss is not unpleasant. Quite the opposite. His charm is evident to even one as inexperienced as Kirei, but this is not what his defective heart desires -- not even this infamous temptation sparks any reaction in him. Neither lust nor disgust rises in him; he simply allows it evenly. It leaves him as indifferent as he would have been to shake the man's hand.
That cannot be. Something deemed so vile in the eyes of the Church surely must have more behind it. Slowly, Kirei's hand tightens into a fistful of the knight's suit. Is he really so low and so damned, that this sin cannot darken him any further? That he can endure it as if it is nothing? There must be more to this--
Suddenly, Kirei pursues the kiss harder, deeper, as if to draw the answer out of the Servant's mouth with his tongue. ]
PERFECT STORM
It's plain the man is not smitten with him, which is just as well, but Lancelot responds to the tension in the kiss. The Tower is a rather tense place, after all-- and release can be a rare bird to find.
He breaks the kiss without drawing back, his hand on Kirie Kotamine's back drifting down to his narrow waist, his lips brushing the Priest's as he speaks.]
Do you seek something I may give you, Priest?

Perfection: Achieved.

While the five-year-old was happy to see the Knight again, she couldn't pass up the opportunity to point out the mistletoe above them.
"A mistletoe! So I'll kiss you, and you kiss me, okay?!"
no subject
Very well, little Maid.

"There you go! Now you hafta kiss me!"

This is how Friends who meet greet each other in the land of my Birth.
[His hand is large on her small shoulder as he leans in, still smiling slightly, to give Yotsuba a firm yet gentle kiss on each cheek.]
no subject
Oh..okay then! But where were you born?
no subject
I was born long ago in a country that is now called France. When I was born, parts of it went under different names-- I come from one part called Benoic.
no subject
Oh! Okay then! But why did B..Benolick change its name?
Ancient Tag: Feel Free to Ignore If You Wish!
Ah, it was long ago that Benoic went by that name. But Kingdoms rise and fall, and so in the end it become part of a larger country-- as small Kingdoms often do.
Tell me then, as we are friends, what is the name of the land of your birth?
Ah, it's alright. My tagging drive was hit by a bus recently, so it's fine..><;
[At that, Yotsuba smiled and nodded. While she didn't understand it all, she got the basic jist of it. At the question, she pointed to the left as she chirped.]
I moved to Japan but before that, Daddy and Yotsuba lived to the left! That's the opposite of right, you know! But..why did..Benolick fall? Was it bad?
Get Well Soon, Tagging Drive!
[The Left, indeed. Direction is a matter of perspective. Still, he cannot help but smile at Yotsuba's ways.]
As for Benoic, she fell because of Time, Yotsuba. She was not a large Kingdom, and over Time she grew unable to defend herself against larger Kingdoms who wanted her Lands for themselves. She was never Bad, only not as strong as some.
