[It happens during a break in their 'adventures' around the tower, out on the meadow. All those little colorful flowers, swaying in a gentle breeze as Archer plunks down in the middle of them. He smiles and picks a yellow flower, holding it out to his little Master expectantly.]

[Smiling, Yotsuba would give Kariya a single yellow rose. She would have given him a bouquet if she knew what those were, but, since she didn't, he got one rose.]

Here you go! You're a good person, and we're friends, so you get a yellow one!

[Since Yotsuba didn't know Archer's actual name, she had stuck him with that nickname. But, once she had gotten his attention, she would give him a yellow rose.]

[After she got his attention, Tohko would give him a small bouquet consisting of three roses, one yellow, one peach, and one cream.]

[It's not like Shinji cares that Kariya has seemed sad lately! It's just that, you know, being disgustingly uncle-like is at least more bearable than moping. Or what he perceives as moping. Whatever. In any case, he has decided to take matters into his own hands and is doing something that might cheer Kariya up, he guesses.]

[So! Red-faced little boy just. Kind of plunking a flower crown right onto Kariya's head.]

[He looks curiously amused as he hears that familiar voice, tilting his chin downward to watch Yotsuba run up to him. A short laugh escapes at the sight of the yellow rose, and he plucks it from her hands with two fingers.]

What a fitting color! You have done well, little one. [He rates the gift as smoothly as he first took it from her, reaching over to brush at her bangs playfully.] I suppose I will need one that fits you in return.

[He isn't expecting Archer to suddenly offer him a flower, and for a second, he's surprised by the gesture. But then he reaches out and takes it, resisting the urge to snatch it away in an attempt to seem calm and measured. He doesn't even puff very loudly.]

What's this for?

[...Of course, he doesn't manage to keep keep his voice completely cool. He feels unsure, half-suspicious as he looks down at the flower in his hand.]

[Yotsuba laughed a little when Archer brushed her bangs, and her smile grew at the praise.]

Thank you! Yotsuba would like a flower too!

[Kariya took the rose with a smile.]

You're a good person too, Yotsuba. I'm glad we're friends.

[Preoccupied (as he hasn't been feeling particularly happy these days), Kariya gives a start when he realizes that something has just fallen down upon his head. He looks up. Flowers...? An instant later, he turns and sees Shinji standing there. He touches a hand to the flowers, with a wondering look on his face. He smiles. He's not sure why Shinji's giving him flowers, but it's nice...]

Thank you so much, Shinji. Is there a special occasion?
