[Floor 23-24]: What was that feeling just now... you were just exploring the tower and walking up from Floor Twenty-Two, only to arrive in an empty room (or is it?). Yet it feels like something is missing... like you have bypassed an entire floor? How mysterious. It may be worth exploring...

[Floor 8]: Mastering the maze is quite entertaining, isn't it - especially given that the challenge shifts and changes every day anew. But beware... who knows who or what else you might run into...

[Floor 71]: This might be one of the most... unsettling floors you have encountered so far. No floor is meant to be this squishy. Nor are walls meant to look like the innards of... what is this creature even?

[Floor 25]: After all you have seen so far, this just might be the first truly innocent floor you see. But is it truly as trustworthy as it seems...? Many other people seem to think so at least! Come and see what they are up to?

[Floor 54]: An old-fashioned toy shop; who would have thought that something like this existed in a place like the tower! The puppets and dolls are especially well crafted; one might almost think them a person rather than a toy. Surely there is nothing wrong with picking up one of them... or is there?

[Elevators]: It's quite a long ride between the Dormitories and the Cafeteria - it probably doesn't help that the minutes and seconds seem to stretch out more and more towards eternity, what a hassle. Are well, maybe there is someone stuck with you and up to provide conversation... or entertainment~

[Anywhere]: Do you still have track of just where you are after spending your day exploring the Tower of Animus? If not, you might want to ask someone... or just start climbing the stairs regardless of where you are! Nighttime is approaching fast...

[If only she could see what the letter told her about the worlds being gone. Thanks to Valtor, she had lost her sight and pretty much can't see worth squat. Naturally she would've used her new powers to help but given the fact that she has no clue where she is?

Nope, nothing.

So naturally, she doesn't know that it's getting dark out. All she knows is to follow the stairs to go up or down.]

[Then it's a good thing there is a youkai heading out of her room and towards the stairs. She had a few things she wanted to get done before her shift tonight.

So when she spots someone new to her wandering about when others who were not equipped to fight off the monsters that roamed at night? Not going to fly with Meiling.]

Hey! It's not safe at night. You might want to head back to your room before the monsters come out.

floor eighteen.
[A particular book on the floor has captured his interest. He's currently preoccupied with picking it up. His brow furrows when he examines the cover and flips open the first few pages. Just as to be expected. Absolutely nothing. The book is soon tossed over his shoulder as his attention shifts to another book on a desk.]

floor sixty-five.
[Very appropriate. There is certainly questions of how such a thing is able to be laid out but science is something to be reasoned with. And, well, it doesn't stop him from moving across the bit of rock. The soles of his footwear are not being shown any mercy.]

floor seventy-two.
[This is a complete utter waste of time. That's what he has in common with this floor. Even with keeping a hand to the wall, he isn't going to exactly get out anytime soon. He can easily just sit and wait for a friendly reaper but that would surely take too long. For now, he opts to pull open a door and moves back.]

[He is going up a set of stairs. Forget what time it is, there are other things to attend to. Though he does pause for a moment. No, he lacks the imagination.]

[There's a man in a beanie here, humming to himself. Off key. He seems to be in a good mood, anyway.]

Floor Thirty-eight:
[He likes the lounge with the beanbag chairs. Who doesn't like beanbag chairs? He's leaning back, enjoying some grape juice that he got from... somewhere.]

Floor Nineteen:
[Another library, huh? Phoenix is looking through the books. On a whim, he's picked up a volume on law and is leafing through it, chuckling to himself.]

Floor Forty-eight:
[For once, Phoenix looks grave, studying the headstones of the cemetery thoughtfully. He doesn't recognize the names, but it gives him pause, and he frowns. There's a lot about this place he doesn't like.]

[An older woman in rather revealing attire stands in the corner of the elevator cursing under her breath about various matters they lay far outside her realm of control.]

[Trapped away from home, separated from her family, and her world declared dead with a mere letter, Aversa was not a happy magic-user. As there was little she could do about any of it, she has resigned herself to learning the lay of the land and playing with anyone who may provide her momentary amusement.]

[And going back down the stairs in turn - sup, Sync, don't mind the wide-eyed ex-comrade who totally just stopped to stare at you.

Because hey, it's one thing when people he's relatively friendly with show up. It's a totally different thing to have Sync pop up in this month's group of arrivals.

When Guy gets back from wherever the Tower shoved him, Asch is going to throw him at Ion.

After a good minute of further staring, his expression shifts to the expected bugface.]

Sync.

[As to be expected, life truly is the worst.

Is there any point in being surprised after having read what was in that letter? But simply because someone is able to spell out some words doesn't make those things true. In any case, he isn't alone from his forsaken world. If only he could be so lucky.

At the very least, Sync does not continue on his way. He is making eye contact. And it seems that they are saying names, now.]

Floor Thirty Eight

[Standing in front with his arms crossed. Yep. He's going to be a spoilsport.] You do realize that grape juice stains if you spill it, don't you, Wright?

[He pretends to consider and then shrugs, with a smile.]

Good thing I'm not worried about the upholstery. Whew. Dodged a bullet there.

[And oh, how does one do the "welcome to the Tower, everything sucks" speech for someone you dislike? Especially when that person thinks everything sucks anyway.

At least Sync, unlike the other green-haired replica, won't need someone to watch his back. Asch has more than enough idiots to keep track of already.]

...You should be aware that that letter doesn't tell the entire story. The Tower only removes souls from their worlds - everyone is effectively living in replica bodies.

Hearing that doesn't exactly do him any favours. However, he's still a piece of shit and yet this body isn't even his. A soul? Ha! The only thing this accomplishes is him to continue on with living. Even if it is a different body he's still forced to exist. And what as? Replacement shit. Nothing is to be said right away but his brow is soon furrowed.

[Ron definitely doesn't know any hobos recognise Phoenix in that hat, or without his snazzy suit, especially aged ten years. So when he nervously steps into the elevator, he doesn't say anything to the other man. But he does keep looking over his shoulder, just in case. The humming doesn't actually put him at ease at all, if anything, it makes it all the worse. He fidgets with the lace on his cuffs.]

[Stepping aside so that he doesn't get kicked in the face? Yes, that's a thing. Best not to get in Sync's way when he's having a temper fit.

[They're gonna be in this elevator for a while. So even though Phoenix recognizes Ron (though he's sure Ron doesn't recognize him), he figures he has some time to get more humming in before reintroducing himself. He might be humming the William Tell Overture. Who doesn't like a good, rousing song? But as anyone who recognizes the tune would realize, he's getting it pretty wrong.]

[Now that is enough to get him to stop in his tracks. He is staring down for a moment and yet not looking at anything in particular. A fist is balled up at his side before Sync turns on the stair and takes a step down.]

The dead are fitted for these bodies.

[This muttered comment is for his own benefit. How truly disgusting. The naive Ion had died. That is fact. And yet he is here, now. Here Sync is, getting carried away by Asch's words. Shame on him.]

[ A certain spirit medium is yelling at the top of her lungs as she darts into one of the elevators, running as fast as she can away from the monsters because apparently using her Steel Samurai moves are not working. At all. Whatsoever.

But when she arrives at the elevator, she takes a sigh of relief before mashing that close button because there is no way that she's going to let the monsters kill her.

SUP NICK. She may not recognize you (at first glance), but hey, we're all good people here. ]

...Phew! At least I made it! [ And she looks at Nick, smiles (even though she has no idea who she is at this point because she's used to him being a crazy lawyer and what is with that beanie even), and speaks enthusiastically, even though she's slightly out of breath. ] Hi! Sorry about that, I hope I didn't bother you.
