The IC Anon Questions Meme!

The IC Anon Questions Meme!

How this works.

Post with your Character! Name and series go in the header.

Go find another character! Go anon and ask them questions. They can be as ridiculous, serious or random as you want.

Go answer the ones people have left for you!

Ah, alright then! I apologize..but that does make sense. That must have been an interesting sight to have on the ship.

Most pirates keep a pet aboard ship. Some have monkeys, other parrots. Cats and the occasional dog. Chickens, but they're mostly kept for eggs and food.

Not so strange, when you live it. I know one very crusty bugger who had his tongue cut out. Trained his bird to speak for him.

I didn't mean the fact that you had a pet aboard-I know that's normal. I was talking about the fact that Polly would wear dresses.

However, that fellow does sound rather clever! I'm..not quite sure how he managed to do that, but it its impressive.

Oh, well, aye. Polly was a lady. For a monkey, at any rate. I simply figured as she preferred those to others, there was no harm in letting her dress as she saw fit.

Can't really say. Mr. Cotton was an odd one. There be some secret involved in the whole mess, but he couldn't read or write, as far as I know, and it's not as though the parrot made sense.

Well, that's true. It's not like Polly was going to hurt anyone by wearing dresses.

..Maybe if you taught Mr.Cotton to read and write, he could get his parrot to make more sense.

Only herself, p'raps. I often wonder if it weren't her dress as dragged her under when the Cobra sank.

Most pirates have no need of reading and writing. I could name several captains off the top of my head who are borderline illiterate, and their crew no better. Besides, Mr. Cotton is no longer with us, I'm afraid.

It if was her dress that led to her drowning, then I am sorry to hear that..but, then again, I'm not sure if she would have survived in the sea either.

I know that most pirates don't, but you seem to have some knowledge of it. I'm sorry to hear about Mr.Cotton though. He sounded like an interesting person.

She could swim, thank you.

Of course I do. Can't all of us being ignorant arses without a lick of sense in our heads besides the next haul, can we?

Mr. Cotton was crew. No more, no less.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-19 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
My apologies. I didn't know, and I didn't mean to offend.

Well, of course not! You'd never get anything done.

Aye, which is why Jack Sparrow is a terrible pirate. And why he can't keep a crew. Nor a ship.

Not because he's illiterate. But because he like as not can't pull his head from his own desires of the bottle long enough to pay attention.
