1. What is your full name?
john egbert. yes, that's it. i don't have a middle name, my name isn't short for jonathan or anything like that. it's just john.
2. Where and when were you born?
well, i was "born" on a meteor in a place called the veil. i wasn't so much "born" as i was spawned from ectogoo. there wasn't any sex or pregnancy involved or anything. fun fact: i actually made myself. it's kind of a long story...
3. Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
wow you are just putting all the complicated ones right here at the top, aren't you? biologically speaking, jane crocker and jake english are my parents, but really all they did was supply the ghost slime dna that made me. maybe i should draw up a chart for this...
anyway, neither of them raised me. i was adopted by my dad after my meteor crash landed on earth and killed my nanna (jane in my universe). he was a business man, but for the longest time i thought he was a street performer. and he was...the best dad a kid could ever ask for, even if he did bake entirely too much.
and even if i[nope nope nope!!!]4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
jade harley is my ectotwin, but she's four months older than me. we were cloned on the same day from jane and jake's dna, but her meteor landed on december 1st and mine landed on april 14th.
5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
well ignoring my dorm room here, obviously, i live in...whatever the world that contains johto and kanto is. we'll call it the pokemon world for now because nobody knows wtf to call this place. it's kinda like earth only better because it has pokemon. the weather is really kind of extreme though it's like we get the worst of both worlds in summer and winter. there are a whole bunch of people from different universes there, much like this place only without the shitty experiments and admins. at the moment, i don't particularly live in any one place, my friends and i still have a lot of traveling to do to get the last of the badges, though i did spend a lot of time in the other house. i guess i consider that to be my home there, at least until rose and i are old enough to get married and buy our own house. the other house is a place for kids to stay in johto when they don't have anywhere else to go. it's run by the other father, who is also one of the best dads a kid could ask for, even if he can't cook for beans. i miss him a lot. :(
6. What is your occupation?
back in johto i was a medical assistant at various pokecenters. but that was only a part time sort of thing since i'm still a teenager so i don't know if it's really an "occupation" so to speak.

i have short, black hair and blue eyes. i wear glasses and my teeth are kind of jacked up, even i can admit that. i haven't hit my growth spurt yet, so i am kind of on the short side for a guy (5'2") and fuck no i am not telling you how much i weigh because that's none of your business. but i am not the skinniest guy around, i can tell you that much. but i have started losing weight since coming here, nothing too drastic. just back a notch on my belt, basically.
8. To which social class do you belong?
middle class i guess?
9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
peanuts. and i guess my eyesight is pretty much shit too, does that count?

i am a lefty.

rugged and manly. like wow, holy shit i just have to say "hi" and the ladies drop to their knees. [he's lying, it actually sounds like this]

uh...fuck, i don't know? shouldn't you ask somebody else that?
13. What do you have in your pockets?
screw pockets, i have my fanny pack. much more convenient for carrying stuff. it has my pokegear and the little notebook rose gave me full of stories and other important notes from my friends in johto inside. and most importantly, my pokeballs.
14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
nope. not at all, there is nothing strange or out of the ordinary about me at all. (seriously why are you asking ME this?)
Part 2: Growing Up
15. How would you describe your childhood in general?
it was generally pretty good i guess. though i always felt like something was missing and i really took things for granted.
16. What is your earliest memory?
i remember my own birth. (hehehe)
17. How much schooling have you had?
i was 13 when i was last home-home, so 8th grade.
18. Did you enjoy school?
i was homeschooled. so it was ok i guess. i took all of my classes online, which gave me plenty of time to talk to my friends.
19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
internet. and to give credit where credit is due, my dad had a hand in some things too.
20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
drs. venkman, stantz, and spengler and also nic cage. specifically nic cage as cameron poe in con air. and my dad.
21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
i'm not going to say anymore then i have kind of vaguely hinted at about this.
22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
a ghostbuster

watching movies, playing piano...for a while i DID enjoy baking cakes with my dad.

rose lalonde. it was november 22nd, two years ago. it was snowing, and she had just woken up from one of those weird johto memory comas. i made her a very romantic dinner and then we went out and had a snowball fight and one thing lead to another and...yeah. it was great.
27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
yes. i only just turned 15 today and i am not married, what did you expect?

i become a god in the future but i never got that far in the timeline before i was johto-napped. you'd have to ask the other me about that. passing on the second part because i feel like it.

i have a lot of good memories. it's hard to pick just one.

i am pretty optimistic.

i had just turned 13 the last time i was in a place that actually had a political system. what do you think?

it's something that you save for a very special person and only do it after you re married. or well...you know, you don't HAVE to wait till then if that's your thing. but it still should be with somebody that you love.

i'm sure if i had more time i could think of the most absolutely eveil thing in the universe but this survey is kind of long and i'm starting to get bored already.

yes

whatever you believe makes it worth it. if at the end of you're life, you are satisfied and have relatively little regrets, then your life was a success.

before coming here, i wasn't the most honest about my feelings. mostly the stuff that upset me. i'm trying to fix that now because i have realized that it's important to be open about things in a place like this.

i typically try to be nice to people until they give me a good reason not to.

rose, dave, jade, vriska, and my dad (and all their various universal iterations) are all very important to me. but for obvious reasons, rose has is eeeever so slightly more important to me.
55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
did you already ask this in different wording like twice already? i am having deja vu here. it's still my dad.
56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
rose lalonde, dave strider, and jade harley are all my best friends. vriska serket, karkat vantas, and aradia megido get honorable mentions as intergalactic space troll buddies. i was pretty good friends with feferi peixes and nepeta leijon in johto too. they're all great people/trolls and if i try to describe them i will be here all day so i'm just going to leave it at "the best friends a guy could ask for (even if dave is a whopping colossal douchnugget sometimes)" and call it a day.
57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person.
rose is my fiancee. we aren't going to get married for quite a while though. it's actually kind of a funny story, i didn't really MEAN to propose when i did. but she said yes, so here we are. extended engagement.

yes. it was the worst four months of my life. holy shit, confessing is hard. it got much better after that though.

a friend, first and foremost.

not as close as i would like. hindsight is 20/20.

my best friends and...more recently: arturia, zelda, and yu. though i want to get to a point where i don't need protecting. i want to protect them. oh, and my pokemon too! elliot especially makes for very good protection.

it used to be watching movies and though i still enjoy them, i don't watch them as much anymore. i like spending time with and training my pokemon now. hanging out with my friends. stuff like that.

that notebook i was talking about in an earlier question.

i like both blue and green about equally. though purple is pretty nice too.
73. What is your favorite food?
i will eat pretty much anything that doesn't have some form of peanut in it and isn't cake. but fruit gushers and burgers are pretty high up on the list of favorite foods.
74. What, if anything, do you like to read?
books that aren't boring.
75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?
con air, ghostbusters, little monsters...i'll be here all day listing movies so i will just leave it at those three. i like classical music a lot but i am really not that picky when it comes to music. dave's raps are super lame and nerdy though.

no. though i did get high on paras shrooms once but you don't understand what a very persuasive argument gamzee made. i buckled to peer pressure.

fighting tower monsters, cuddling with rose, and sleeping. yes, all three at the same time.

lots of things. laughing is good for you!

bug rose. plan pranks. play with my pokemon.

get away from people for a while and just go relax. cuddle with liv for a bit. she's very soft.

spontaneity makes life fun.

see question #50. also a lack of organization when it comes to like...physical things. you know, like cleaning up your room. how hard is it to pick things up off the floor? not very!!!!!

84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
i wake up, eat breakfast, go train until lunch, either train some more or go relax (depending on how i feel), eat dinner, go work in the graveyard (some nights), go shower, go to bed. i don't care if it gets disrupted, i try to keep it kind of loose and flexible anyway so it's whatever.
85. What is your greatest strength as a person?
my dashing good looks and buns of steel.
86. What is your greatest weakness?
my dashing good looks and buns of steel are also my greatest weaknesses.
87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
same as the above, and so i would choose to change them so that i can be less dashing and have less firm of a rump so that i could live a normal life.

idk, somewhere in the middle? people are cool but i am also chill with being alone.

organized, despite my schedule being kind of flowy.

that's kind of how things work in johto. your mom kicks you out the door at the tender age of ten and you go to see the world and have monster cock fights. it was a little different for me since i was 13 and she wasn't actually my mom but the principle is the same.
