Rules:
1. Fill out the form that follows--some of the questions on this form are specifically about Animus, and so should hopefully provide more useful information than a general CR meme might!
2. Go through the meme and read others' comments, then reply to anyone you'd like to start CR with! Try to mention something specific to get things started, since that's easier to plan around than "let's do all the things".
3. Everyone gets wonderful CR!
Dr. Richtofen | Call of Duty: Zombies
THE BASICS
Name: [AU1] Dr. Edward Richtofen
Canon: Call of Duty: Zombies
Room: 2-02
Collar Color: Orange
Special Information: Richtofen has a crescent-shaped scar under his right eye and constantly wears a frayed, bloodstained Wehrmacht uniform. He has a large combat knife strapped to his hip, and carries an MP 40 sub-machine gun around on his back. Lately, he's been extra-paranoid, and often twitches, swerves to avoid contact with other people, and mutters (or shouts) to himself. He's... hard to miss.
Roommate Behavior: Richtofen is a fastidiously neat roommate, and has everything organized precisely. This is a bit of a new habit he's developed, as he spends a lot of time nowadays arranging and re-arranging his few belongings in a way that definitely screams "nervous habit." He doesn't sleep much, spending only as much time in his bed as it takes to keep himself from dying, but mostly, he'll avoid going into the room if his roommates are there. If he does see them, or if he's otherwise forced by circumstance to stay in the room when they're there (mostly at night, since he has little chance of fighting the monsters by himself), he's actively hostile and suspicious. He'll snap at anyone who even breathes too loudly, and if anyone steps too close to his corner of the room, there's a very good chance he'll lash out and point either his gun or his knife at them.
When he's not antagonizing his roommates or avoiding them completely, he's muttering things into his tape recorder, which acts as an audio diary for him (and yes, he actually calls it a diary, starting off every entry by stating "Deeeeear diary" in a totally manly way). He does this fairly regularly, and anyone who interrupts him while he's doing this will most definitely get screamed and/or shot at.
Current Status: Richtofen spends most of his time nowadays avoiding people as best as he can. He's even more unhinged after being killed at the end of the Dark World plot - being humiliated in front of 50-odd people will do that to an egomaniac. He is not a friendly person, and unless you're already in his "good graces" (here meaning "someone who he doesn't hate as vehemently as the rest of the people in the Tower"), he'll be openly anatagonistic, or even violent, toward you. Lately, his already-fragile semblance of sanity has taken a nosedive, to the point where he often seems out-of-touch with reality. He talks to people who aren't there, pretends that people who are there don't exist, and generally doesn't give many people the time of day, particularly when he's having one of his disjointed episodes.
DAYTIME ACTIVITIES
Schedule: Richtofen goes wherever he thinks he'll be most alone, generally. He has a fondness for books from the libary, particularly ones on engineering, anatomy, and science. He takes those around the Tower with him, reading them and making notes, oftentimes in the margins. His handwriting is so bad that anyone who manages to get a hold of the books he's written in probably won't be able to read his writing, and sometimes it almost seems as if he didn't write anything, he just scribbled. He seems to be able to read it perfectly, though.
He does a lot of hunting as well, but he doesn't bother with traps or snares, preferring to attempt to bowl the animal over and stab it repeatedly. This has dubious success, as one might imagine for an insane 40-something Nazi dude with no special powers. He also does lab work, infirmary work, and dissections (see next section), but he doesn't have a set schedule. The only thing he makes sure of is that he's in his dorm before the monsters start to come out (he's crazy, not stupid).
Floors Frequented: The library floors, though he doesn't stay there for longer than it takes to grab some books. He likes to fool around on the laboratory floor, experimenting with all manner of substances (he's had quite a few close calls when chemicals reacted badly). He enjoys the morgue floor, because it's the one place where he can satisfy his need to cut people up without worrying about them breaking out some sort of godly power to defend themselves. The hospital floor, while not good at all for his paranoia, is a place he often hangs out in, just exploring and talking to himself. In addition, floors that aren't too dangerous but are undesirable to most residents, like the floor with bloody handprints and the one made up of organs, are places he likes to frequent. He feels more at home on those floors than he does around other people.
He also works in the infirmary, but whether or not he'll do a good job in patching you up is left up to chance. He'll either set you right with such great skill that it appears reflexetive... or he'll patch you up in the most painful way possible, leave you to bleed out, or just plain hurt you worse than before. He'll always make some sort of bullshit excuse as to why he's not helping you properly, like, "To set a bone, you have to twist it like this, trust me, I'm a doctor," or "You have to make an appointment to see me, sorry, please leave before you bleed all over my nice clean floors," or something of the like. Butter him up by promising him something he wants (protection from monsters, information on someone he's interested in, etc.), and he'll give you the best care you can get in a place like the Tower... probably.
Checkup Behavior: Lately, Richtofen has been avoiding collar check-ups, and has to be dragged in kicking and screaming. He absolutely hates them. He screams curses at the drones and at everyone else around him, and once it's all over with, he runs off as quickly as possible and isolates himself again.
NIGHTTIME ACTIVITIES
Schedule: Richtofen makes sure he's in his room by the time night falls. He doesn't often sleep while he's there, but he knows better than to make himself monster-bait. As of late, he's been getting increasingly bold, though, peeking outside and even wandering around a bit. He's getting to the point where he's almost curious enough about the monsters to risk being killed by them in an attempt to learn more about them - he misses his ungodly creations back from his home so much that he's almost desperate to see something like them again.
Floors Frequented: Just the dorm floors, for now.
Reaction to Monsters: Richtofen alternates between calling the monsters "adorable" and "ugly," apparently unable to make up his mind. The zombies and hellhounds in the Tower, which come from his world, he's especially sensitive to, referring to them as "my babies," "my little accidents," "children," and other such endearments. The other monsters, he's curious about, and wants to be able to get close enough to them that he can study them. If someone stronger than him is around when he runs into monsters, he'll try to get them to kill it for him
so that he can study the body. If they're weaker than or the same strength as he is, he'll try to knock them down to distract the monsters while he runs away.LONGTERM
IC Character Plans: Richtofen just wants to get out of this place, that's his number one priority. Smaller goals include building his reputation back up, and finding a way to satiate his bloodlust on living people, instead of just the corpses in the morgue.
OOC Character Plans: What I'd really like is for Richtofen to pretend to reform. He's had his huge psychological break, and he's still running around like someone who really should be put into some kind of institution, but once he starts to calm down, he'll begin to realize just how badly he fucked up - not in an "oh god, I hurt so many people" way, mind you, but rather, in a "now nobody will trust me and everyone will warn potential prey about me and I won't be able to have any fun at all" way. So he'll pretend that he's developing in the former way, in hopes that some of the more optimistic hero-types will begin to trust him. All the while, he'll be scheming about how to experiment on/murder as many people as he's able to.
BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS
My character is most likely to get positive CR with...
People who are just as unhinged and immoral as he is. People who love bloodshed are great, and people who he knows are weaker/stupider than him are easier for him to get along with, too, since he knows they won't be able to plot against him for the most part. But stronger people are good too, because he would see the merit in making them want to use their skills and abilities to help him out. Basically, anyone who he can talk openly with about subjects like torture and murder are good. He still won't trust them, per se, but he won't vehemently hate them, either.
My character is most likely to get negative CR with...
He absolutely hates Americans, for one thing. He doesn't do well with children (unless they meet the above "positive CR" criteria), and anyone who disagrees with things like murder and hurting others will never be someone who Richtofen can get along with. People who are incredibly resilient in the face of pain, ones who act brave and tough despite their circumstances, and women (again, if they don't meet the above criteria, and especially if they remind him of his mother or sister) are also people he generally won't get along with.
I would like my character to...
Manipulate people! Be it by pretending to reform, or befriending them long enough to find out their weaknesses so that he can later experiment on them, or anything of the sort. I'd also like him to try and make "friends" who he can level with about things like killing and hearing voices and whatnot. But you can basically suggest anything you think would be fun, barring, of course, stuff on the "things I'd like to avoid" list.
I would like to avoid...
I don't want him to become completely unplayable, so I'd prefer to avoid too many interactions with people who are way stronger than him and condescending about it (woop woop egomaniac lyfe). This isn't to say that I don't want anything bad to happen to him at all, of course, since I love making bad things happen to my guys, but with the way Richtofen's development has been going recently, I just don't want him to be shocked so badly that he turns into a useless heap who can't tell up from down. He also can't fall in love, so romance plots are not an option. Umm... Other than that, I can't really think of anything!

//drops her
HAHA no but really, I'm eager to see how their friendship will be effected by Richtofen's freak-out earlier. He hopes Nesir's not one to hold grudges oops

She will never let him live it down though
He will owe her so many favours

Is totally still offering Sephiroth up for any twisted experiment Richtofen might be able to corner/convince/blackmail to get him into! But there are specifics like how, why, when....idek

tell him all your weaknesses Sephi, it's okay he's a doctorno subject
Also Naoya frequents the infirmary but he's not there to get fixed up, just to get more pain pills. Richtofen is free to notice how many he takes. It's like a bottle every two or three weeks if my math is right.

And as for Naoya, Richtofen might comment on it eventually. Ask him about his pain, see if there's anything he can do, cough cough...
tell him all your secretsI mean whatno subject
Also. Yeah. Naoya will basically tell him to fuck off, he's already tried surgery and it doesn't work. :|
Though April is basically giving him some light electroconvulsive therapy which is helping a bit.no subject
Ocelot is always available for bonding over being a source of ambivalent CR.
