Word spreads faster than you can imagine. A little birdie that just happened to notice a few things about you, as it were. Nothing special. I do not judge, of course. Only less magnanimous men would.

I'm the book girl, Victor. I know how quickly words can spread. While it is good that you do not judge me, that still doesn't answer my question: which little birdie told you?

Does it truly matter? I, personally, do not see how this would alter any variables at all. As a matter of fact, I find myself not caring much at all myself. Only know that secrets don't stay secret long from Doom.

It matters to me. While you might not care, I do care if someone knows about this and has been running their mouth. After all, I tell everyone who I know to keep their mouths shut about it.

And stop your egocentric babbling. The only person I could take that line seriously from is Wilhelm, and even he wouldn't say something like that. So, talk. Or at least give me a recognizable hint.

Telling is no assurance. There is little to stop the word once it gets out, and there are far more interesting creatures within this tower for it to stay hidden long.

You might or might not be right. All the same, if someone is talking about it, I would like to tell them to stop as soon as possible. So, even if it isn't of any assurance to me, I would still like to know. Besides, what skin would it be off your back?

Must you dally on so about a subject so insignificant like a wretching shrew? If you absolutely 'must' know--and I am being far more merciful than I usually am--I will say that it was someone who only relayed such information to me because I asked it. No one else will or could possibly know.

As for their name, I could hardly be bothered to let you in on such a thing. I never even 'use' her name.

Now be satisfied. Doom does not adore being trifled with any further!

To you, this may seem insignificant. To me, it's a matter of vast importance. If you can't even step into my shoes for five minutes and see why that would be, than you're even more foolish than I thought you were.

[And you've just revealed that you use personal spies around the Tower. Smart move, Doom.]

..I don't really care what you do or don't adore at this point. However, I'm not sure why spying methods you used, since I never did anything in your presence, and I try not to be seen, but don't spy on me again. And I would advise you to not do it in the future. There are others here who are much stronger than I who would not take kindly to it.

And, obviously, if you tell anyone, I will not leave you alone. I can be quite stubborn when I want to be.
