Asch is a ball of problems and troubles and things taken from him and guilt and depression and just plain confusion and a kid that never really got the chance to be a kid. He's had everything stolen from him and his attempts to try to restore some sort of stability to his life like to teeter and totter between the good military man, strict and firm and unwavering like a fine soldier should, while on the other hand he still has that boy inside him that wants contact, that wants friendship, but feels he's been so out of placed by his circumstances and his society and even his own best friends and mentores that he has nowhere else to go.

Asch is such a big mess and the way you play him as such a big mess - full of twists and turns and complexities and intricacies - makes him a genuinely outstanding castmate to interact with. I never have problems interacting with Guy when it comes to Asch because everything about Asch that makes Guy upset is there, you don't put it too far into the background and yet you don't give it a huge spotlight unless circumstances go to shit (see: clusterfuck). He's a broken, broken, kid, and the fact that you acknowledge that and dive into that and make him flesh and blood and bone and give him that delicate desire to keep moving on for something despite everything else... it is fucking admirable and you deserve eight bazillion gold stars.

Plus, you're a joy to be around OOC and your musings about Asch are always a joy to read. You can tell just in 24 hours that Asch is a character that you have connected with, and it shows in your playing. He's not too much of an angst bucket, and he's not too much of a cold and cruel general. He's just Asch, and that is exactly how it should be, IMHO. You have so much to be proud over.

So come here so I can shove more PA paper airplanes into your mailbox.
