What's Karkat's biggest regret?

oh god that's hard

he has a very long list by this point. i think his ultimate regret is probably something exceedingly stupid that he has no real control over, like his complete inability to connect with anyone on a personal level. even people he's supposed to be really close to, people he's supposed to share his innermost thoughts with are often completely in the dark to what he's feeling and thinking.

he's an empath who feels burdened with imagined duty, an intense need to help every problem he accidentally comes across just by being in the area with varying degrees of success. and don't even get him started on things that involve feelings towards him. he's just a complete failure at being what he wants to be and he knows it but refuses to change himself or his approach, which just results in a downward spiral of failure.

he's also aware that, if he keeps up the way he's going, he's going to be completely friendless and he's on his way toward accepting that but its really hard for him.

so tl;dr, he regrets not being more open with people he cares about, because one day they'll all be gone because of it.
