The fauna of the Tower, to call it something, is quite unlike anything else you've ever dealt with. You're running out of designs and ideas, and something terrible will happen the day you don't have anything to entertain yourself with. So you sit on the steps, pencil sliding easily on the paper, and sketch up movements and shapes that make no goddamn sense at all. You feel him standing behind you, peering at your work. You resist the urge to smirk when red and blue shoot out his head and obliterate the monster you were drawing. You say nothing as you start sketching a different one. It's almost a game, how fast can you get them down, before he finds them and takes them down. You fill page after page, until he loses his temper with an ease you envy and flies into the pit, seemingly intent to destroy everything.

You're not quite sure when you stop drawing monsters and you start drawing him.
