[ Well the sofa has now become a pincushion, but it does give Shirou somewhere nice to lay for the remainder of the time he's knocked out. Once he finally comes to he tries to raise his head, snapping his eyes open, and a wave of pain assails him. ]

Ah...

[ And it's now that he finally gets to see the face of the stranger up close. As much as he wants to jump off the couch and get into a battle stance, he can't muster the energy. Plus... would he even be alive if the man before him hadn't saved his life? ]

Lancer! What're you doing here...?

[Until the boy speaks, Lancer had been entranced by the nature of the boy's wounds. Swords were sticking out his wounds. Oddly, it didn't look like he had been stabbed. Instead, it was like the swords were growing out from inside his body. It was disgusting, yet fascinating at the same time.]

[Lancer tenses when the boy calls out his name.]

...How do you know me? I've never seen you before.

[Had this child been one of the numerous victims of the Grail War?]

[ Due to the amount of time the young Magus had already spent within the tower, it was no surprise to him that such an odd occurrence could be possible. Besides, wasn't it entirely plausible that this Lancer could have been from another war, or maybe another glitch in the system? Even if he did look like the Lancer he knew, there were a few things different about him. Still, he could have just forgotten. ]

You don't remember...? You killed me!

[He raises an eyebrow.]

I'm gonna need a few more details than that to job my memory.

[Even if this boy had just been a bystander who walked in at the wrong time, it still didn't explain how he knew Lancer as Lancer.]

But, you know, it probably wasn't anything personal. Don't take it too badly.

[ Shirou understands this.. and after his Lancer had technically made it up to them by fighting Archer for them, and then how he sacrificed his life to protect him from Gilgamesh, he can't continue to hate the guy. Even though he isn't his Lancer, he's still Cuchulainn. ]

[His expression turns more somber as he examines the boy's body again.]

But I don't think that would mean anything if those swords keep sticking out of your body.

[ Curiosity is what got people killed, so it was only natural that when Shirou attempted to place his hand over his wound he would inevitably prick himself. Even though the swords were there, without Avalon the wound wasn't going to heal instantly. He was lucky to be alive in the first place. ]

...That's odd. I don't think that's ever happened to me before...

[ An arm is placed on the male's forehead as he stares at the ceiling, nearly becoming lost in thought. ]

...I'm not sure myself. Tohsaka would probably be able to explain it if she was here, but I don't think I've seen her yet.

[ Plus, if she is here, she'll just nag his head off about continuing to fight in his condition anyways. ]

Then, you stay here. I'll go get some first aid supplies from the infirmary.

[ After looking around a bit to make sure it was safe, he nodded and laid his head down, staring at the ceiling once again. ]

...Yeah... and thanks again. I'd probably be dead if you hadn't shown up.

[Lancer only gives a quick nod before running toward the closest elevator. He'll be back a while later, holding the first aid kid.]

[ By that time, Shirou would have fallen asleep for a bit. Instead of being knocked out, this time Shirou is voluntarily relaxing. ]

[Lancer holds up the box of supplies and rattled it.]
