*What is it with those things and being ridiculously powerful? Lucifel had said they would be common, mundane devices in the future but that seems a bit much.*
...What was that?
no subject
It's a spell...sorry, I didn't know how else to get rid of them.
no subject
I doubt that's something an ordinary phone can do...
*What an odd thing to say, right?*
no subject
Yeah, that's definitely not a normal feature! Cool, huh?
no subject
*Why can he never encounter the mundane version of these things that supposedly exist in abundance?*
no subject
My friend made it! You've seen Saiduq around here, right?
no subject
Saiduq? I don't think so.
no subject
White fluffy hair, wears red and black, squints a lot...

no subject
Is his friend.
.....Yeah.]
"Al Saiduq," yeah. He made this so people could defend themselves better from uh... [...How to explain about the Septentriones without mentioning that Saiduq was one of them...]
Threats.

*Not bringing up the "unmake a goddess" thing just yet because he's kind of...confused here. What threat could be so great it warranted giving humans the ability to do that?*
no subject
no subject
*If they're demons, why isn't God helping? That would be the one instance where it'd be warranted! And if they're not...well, what else is there?*
no subject
Hmm...maybe it'd be better to show you? [Did he manage to catch a video of at least Dubhe on here or not?] Oh, umm...
[...Yes, he is just now noticing the blood spatters.]
You got some, uh... [His hand makes a vague "there's crap all over you" gesture, wow sorry he didn't notice sooner, dude!]

One of the... *...is it a monster at all? It seems to appear at random just like them but...* ...things that can be found here.

Replacing the images on his screen is a new one, an apparent recording. It's a little shaky, but the focus is suddenly on this...weird...colorful cone thing. It's very large, considering that there are curious bystanders surrounding it, so it's easy to see that it towers over the average person by at least a few heads.
There's a pink, sponge-like thing on the top of it, and it's obvious the people staring at it are curious. It doesn't seem dangerous, but the sponge seems to be getting bigger. At least the talking amongst the bystanders is quiet.
This isn't really the case for the person holding the camera.
Don't touch it! It sounded like he was desperate, trying to at least get them to get away, but they don't listen, just some man turning to look at the camera and asking what his problem is.
Some unnatural sound interrupts, though, some...reverberating, tonal sounds that are almost words but not quite, and with the sponge thing expanding again, it's clear where the sound came from. Somebody closer, not in camera shot, is starting to panic, and the holder starts to back away really fast, hand down to the side with the phone pointed at the ground.
There's a bright flash and there's a sound so loud the speakers almost blow out. The young man looks like he fell because he's suddenly lower, like he's sitting, and the camera goes up again.
There's no one left but that thing and...those aren't ashes, are they?
...Those people! The panicking teen again, followed by what sounded like a young woman, but she's very quiet and yeah, those were ashes. The camera holder stands up, backs away, somehow with his phone still trained on whatever that is but it lurches closer.
And the top gets bigger.
Run! As soon as he's on his feet, the feed ends and that's the end of the video.
There...is really nothing to say to explain that, is there.]

Until the people were obliterated.*
What was that...? What could have so much power?
*...It reminds him in a way of the projectiles Azazel's machines had, but...somehow worse.*
no subject
[Y E A H.
Let's just let that fact sink in for a bit.]
They're called Septentriones.
no subject
At least the jolt of the near-fall is enough to get his mind working at full speed after the shock of seeing that.*
It's good you had intervention, then...
no subject
[Nevermind explaining why they're there in the first place.]
no subject
*He may have it together enough to say that, but he's still...a bit dazed by all that.*
no subject
Hah, it wasnt that bad when we had to fight it. Turns out it's weak to trucks.
no subject
*He gets the joking tone. But he doesn't get even the gist of the joke. Such is the problem with not knowing what a truck is.*
no subject
no subject
...Is this the same sort of thing as a motorcycle?
*Except his mental image is now a large cart pulled by people on motorcycles. He didn't exactly get to see other vehicles...or if he did, he didn't have the capability to learn what they were.*
