It's been three months, people...

TEST DRIVE MEME

how have we not had one of these in a while?
You want to join the game with a (new) character? Maybe you’re simply curious about the premise? Or maybe you just need a sample. Well that’s the meme for you to try and test your character as if they were already in the tower! The meme is open to anyone!
• Reply to this entry with a character you consider apping! Put your character’s name and fandom- Your usual meme thing.
• Comment around with your pups. You can also post and tag with characters already in-game of course!
• Most importantly, have fun!!
Then feel free to go and reserve/app your character since the reserves are opening on the 24th.

[But to what end? He wanted to ask but Sephiroth was damn sure he wasn't going to let Cloud in on his little own train of thoughts in case he'd decide that we wanted to get in the way as usual.

Check-ups and games eh? Though the latter sounds fun; something he'd excel in, people 'checking' him up in anyway shape or form without his consent and/or without being informed what it was for first was something Sephiroth would not allow. Depending on how the whole issue is approached later, when he has to go for one of these routine appointments would no doubt make his mind up one way or the other.]

What if they are to keep us safe though. [Refraining from over-touching the foreign object around his neck]
This is a new world after all, it wouldn't do us much good if the entire air in here were toxic. Does anyone know for sure?

[For now, Cloud has clearly been around here longer than he has (a first!) and so in the pursuit of catch-up Sephiroth tolerates their little exchange. Though it'd be foolish to think his mood wouldn't turn at the slightest provocation]

They say that of the collars. They also make sure we have them checked twice a month and while you can fight the colorless, there's something in their arsenal that will knock you out.

[ They have to knock Cloud out for those scheduled check-ups. No way would he go willingly to the clinic and stay still long enough for his collar to get drained and refilled. He just couldn't do it. ]

They say a lot of things. I wouldn't believe all of it because sometimes it seems that they might just be saying it to keep us in line.

[All very well noted. There was even a slight nod of understanding in there before Sephiroth picked the bowl back up off the table where he left it and ate the last spoonful of oatmeal before putting it all back down again.]

All fun and games. This is going to be so much fun.

[Underneath the sarcasm, there is the undeniable truth that Sephiroth may indeed have either a lot to learn about the state of play in their new home or he's just being him; up for any challenge put to him]

[ Just a kind of small frown from Cloud. Truth be told he wasn't happy about having Sephiroth around. There were too many people that would get hurt by the man, and Cloud didn't want that responsibility on his head. But he knew that someone had to keep the former General in line.

Or at least divert his attention. ]

So you say.

[Indeed. But that doesn't merit any further comment.

Sephiroth is very much of the opinion that the humans below him are a race well-overdue an extinction event. Perhaps this place would throw into blinding obviousness to others what he already knew. Survival of the fittest species without much of humanity's chance to give itself an unfair advantage. He wasn't sure he liked that thought; of humans realizing they should be dying out, there would always be those that denied the inevitable. Such as the one stood before him, however bored he seemed.

But all of this thought train depends on which side are those who run this place. Sephiroth grunts lowly in disdain, as again he reaches the end of the track; he's not the one in control here. Without a single word of acknowledgment, Sephiroth turns and heads out of the Cafeteria - his need for answers only more intense now after that exchange]
