[...She would have just waltzed past her idly while trying to get a feel for the tower, if not for the fact that she just summoned a radar headed being from out of nowhere. So she'll just stop and stare for a sec while she works.

[The scan doesn't go as well as she'd hoped- there are a lot of blind spots and complete blackouts, but it's better than nothing, and she dismisses Kanzeon with a shake of her head, combing her fingers through her hair to settle it properly back into place.

She'd already noticed Shepherd, and she turns to face her, hands clasping behind her back as she leans forward a little, offering a little grin.]

Hey! Have you been here very long?

[The uniformed elder shakes her head, and cradles it a little. She's already getting a headache from the news she was hit with when she woke up in here.]

Does an hour or two count as 'very long'? [Dry as ever. She hasn't lost her affinity for snark, even in these circumstances. :|]

Not really.

[Rise's face shifts into a slight pout, mouth twisting to one side slightly.]

Man, I was hoping you might be able to tell me some more about this place. It's kind of nuts, and I'm not really sure I trust some stupid note... especially not from a bunch of kidnappers or something.

You could just go searching for people you recognize, you know.

That, or asking anyone who'd actually stay in a place like this. [Because really, tower in the middle of nowhere? That's about as good a sign as a Collector Cruiser floating around aimlessly after a brawl with Turian forces.]

I just didn't want Kanzeon messing anything up- this place had plenty of room.

[She leans back on her heels a little, and regards the older woman carefully.]

Hey- where are you from, anyway? I've never seen anyone dress like that before.

[And thank goodness too- so trying too hard for space-chic or something, seriously.]

[Then she realizes that this girl doesn't look like another spacefarer...well, that would explain the question right off the bat. She crosses her arms.] As for where I'm from, I'd say about a century ahead of you. [...Blunt as hell, Shep. Blunt as hell. Hope Rise doesn't mind the timefuck.]

[It's okay- Rise's not really mad, she just doesn't take to being treated like a kid very well sometimes.]

Well, if you'd asked me that a while ago, I'd have been calling the police already- but there's been a looooot of weird stuff going on in my life lately.

[She sets her hand on her chin and looks Shepard up and down carefully, lips pursing.]
