[Cue one raised silver eyebrow. Talk about confusing, it's almost as if Reno's gotten him mixed up with someone else. But how could that be possible it's not like his appearance was mistakable for anyone else.

Trying to recall anything about working with someone called Zack just isn't forthcoming, in fact it's starting to inflict a pinprick of a headache. Whether this is from the hole in his memory or the fact he's trying too hard to remember is impossible to discern. He does however, recall he did work for ShinRa - the Nibelheim incident is the root of his retained memories concerning Cloud.]

When? [Tone is a little darker now, he knows there were two fights that day; there was a black-haired SOLDIER and then there was Cloud. Could that have been this Zack?]

[This is the second most random thing he's seen during the past week, honestly. When you get attacked by Eldritch Star Beings every day of the week, you kind of lose your sense of normalcy.

[It's not that much of a surprise that Gaara doesn't know; if he's too young to remember Yashamaru's death, then his Kankuro can't be more than eight or so. He didn't start learning the threads until about that age, although he'd been mad about the puppets long before.]

They call it a rescue, but how can it be a rescue when we're all collared and herded about for check-ups and games? When I first got here, they took a bunch of people and put them in a maze and made them kill each other off.

[ Cloud's own collar could be seen at his throat, the blue almost matching the blue Mako glow of his eyes. ]

Everyone has one. Those without any color are a kind of servant group that might as well be spirits. Most of the floors we can get to are dangerous, and the only way we can get to the other floors is when the colorless grab you and take you there.

... Granted, this is a very good one, if it is one of those illusions, so Kankuro's not exactly unimpressed.]

〘FLOOR THIRTY-NINE: GYMNASIUM〙

[ Shirou has spent enough time in this tower to know that he needs to defend himself if any of these monsters spring on him. So if you find him, he'll be sitting in a corner of the large gym, eyes closed and attempting to use Projection. The best he's able to do is a projection of a very basic sword, which disappeared shortly afterward. Still the boy continues to try and prevail, finally summoning up Kanshou and Bakuya which disappear almost instantly. The workout appears to have completely drained him, and you'll find him sitting on his behind against the nearest wall. Sweat drips down his forehead and harshed breaths escape him as he mumbles something inaudible to himself. If you feel up to bugging him, go for it! ]

〘FLOOR THIRTY-EIGHT: LOUNGE〙

[ If you proceed into the lounge and look toward the nearest couch upon entrance, you'll find an orange haired boy sitting on it and staring up at the ceiling. In his eyes shine both irritation and depression, and it's clear that he is lost in his own world. On his mind are the people that matter a lot to him: Rin, Saber, Sakura, Taiga, Issei, and Illya. He has yet to come across any of these people so far in the tower, and he's begun to worry about their well-being. There is evident pain in his chest as Saber's face comes to mind directly after his eyes are closed. To be with her again is something, try as he may to wish upon wish, he will not be able to experience again. This tower just may assist him in coming to this harsh realization that much quicker. If you're up to relaxing and talking to a mostly average teen boy, then Shirou's your man. ]

〘FLOOR THIRTY-SEVEN: DARKNESS〙

[ With Kanshou and Bakuya constantly coming into his hands and shattering, Shirou is attempting to fight the monsters who make their home within this darkness. There are cuts and deep wounds in his face and body, though he refuses to fall. Blades also appear to be sprouting out of a few areas where you'd expect bones to protrude. He falls to a knee, and then bounds back up in a rough slash. The scene before you is hopeless, and after a while all of Shirou's magical energy will have dissipated and he will be at the mercy of these beasts. Will you watch the scene with sadistic glee, sorrowful regret, or will you attempt to save the boy fighting for his very life? ]

[There's the noise of something going through flesh and bone, and one of the monsters is suddenly lifted up and thrown aside. With a wet squelch, something is pulled from the same monster's body. The little light that reflects off of it marks it as long and red.]

Huh...wonder what got it all excited.

*Are you kidding? He can't slow down! He can, however, duck under a shark and double back to avoid another that would have been just in front of him. A quick roll backwards to duck under another, and...uh. Three of them swimming nearly abreast and staggered just enough that simply throwing himself to the floor would leave him open too long.*

[ Kuwabara attempted to unlock himself from Yusuke's headlock while twisting his body a little. He was flailing after a few moments when the teen started to give him noogies! Kuwabara was not in the mood for this crap right now! ]

[But to what end? He wanted to ask but Sephiroth was damn sure he wasn't going to let Cloud in on his little own train of thoughts in case he'd decide that we wanted to get in the way as usual.

Check-ups and games eh? Though the latter sounds fun; something he'd excel in, people 'checking' him up in anyway shape or form without his consent and/or without being informed what it was for first was something Sephiroth would not allow. Depending on how the whole issue is approached later, when he has to go for one of these routine appointments would no doubt make his mind up one way or the other.]

What if they are to keep us safe though. [Refraining from over-touching the foreign object around his neck]
This is a new world after all, it wouldn't do us much good if the entire air in here were toxic. Does anyone know for sure?

[For now, Cloud has clearly been around here longer than he has (a first!) and so in the pursuit of catch-up Sephiroth tolerates their little exchange. Though it'd be foolish to think his mood wouldn't turn at the slightest provocation]

They say that of the collars. They also make sure we have them checked twice a month and while you can fight the colorless, there's something in their arsenal that will knock you out.

[ They have to knock Cloud out for those scheduled check-ups. No way would he go willingly to the clinic and stay still long enough for his collar to get drained and refilled. He just couldn't do it. ]

They say a lot of things. I wouldn't believe all of it because sometimes it seems that they might just be saying it to keep us in line.
