SEPTEMBER HMD

(a little early because there wasn't an August one)

1) Comment to this post with a list of your characters! This meme, by the way, is voluntary but recommended.

2) Give and receive constructive criticism! We'll be watching and we will intervene if flames are being thrown about. Additionally, this is for commenting on the characters, and not the people playing them.

3) This meme is more for concrit than compliments--there will be a compliments meme for straight-out love, don't worry.

We've actually been using a similar system like that. Apps are posted in a modcomm where we can look at them ahead of time whenever we can. However, August and September tends to be a time when a lot of us have less time. Originally, apps didn't have a judging day; that was something I suggested to the others when I came in as a list mod so we'd know when to prepare ourselves.

Permission post is entirely my fault and I apologize about that! I'll be fixing it as soon as I am done replying. I am the list mod, I actually don't help with plots at all (because I want to be kept in the dark as well). I do think it might help if we were two, however, and talked about it with Mel for a bit.

Regardless, this is partly why we made the decision to go with apps once a month - a lot of games use this system and for mods (list or otherwise), it is much easier to have a batch of reviews and applications once per month than at the end of each week especially with the number we are getting now. It is a larger number, yes, but then we don't have to worry about next week once that is done. For the plots it means we can plan around just one batch coming in per month vs having one each week, and then having to plan events around those (say an event makes it that no one could wake up for a week, for example). And for a list mod, it is also extremely helpful because there is a lot of work that goes in maintaining lists.
