[V/V doesn't know. It's hard to say, when humanity could be destroyed just because of her leaving. She should go back and check, to see if there's anything she can do. If there's a chance that her not going home will cause ruin then she can't stay.

...But humanity is going to die out anyway, and she'd like to live somewhere where there are people and a bright future...

[Waver seemed awfully calm about the situation. As always he had that notebook in his hand--most of it useless now, but there was still some information on the Fifth War he'd surely end up needing.]

[A sigh. Goddamn, if he'd been gone for any notable period of time by their perspective then he was going to catch holy hell from the head of the Archibald family. What a pain.]

[Home is where he's meant to be.

Home is where the curse of God will fall upon him once more, plaguing him with eternal reincarnation into lives of suffering and misery, and each of his bloodlines will suffer the same fate.

But home is where he has work to do. So home he goes.

First though, he has some people to talk to.]

Arturia has no idea what to do. On the one hand, she has a duty to fulfill--a duty to all the worlds she managed to fulfill--and should go back to the world to continue her duty.

....on the other hand, she isn't sure she wants to go back. For the first time in her life she has the right to choose her path for herself and there is nothing left for her in her world. But is it right?

She's long since given up the idea of being a knight despite every fiber of her being acting like it. She betrayed her Master once. She'd damned herself to eternal fighting to make up for it. So Arturia wanders the library, lost in thought. People will be leaving soon, are making plans, and yet she still has no idea what to do.

Well. There are people here he's become fond of. It would be a lie to say it doesn't pang his heart to think of never seeing them again.

But never seeing Tatsuya again causes him far more pain.]

[April should, needs go back. Back to the wasteland and the immortal life that she knew was waiting for her, the life that she doesn't want. But she had a world that still needed rebuilding and a group to lead, so she had to go back. But she doesn't want to leave just yet.

So April finds herself sitting in the meadow floor for now, as she's usually done before during her stay in the tower, staring at the ground in thought. She didn't want to admit that she was sort of hiding away from the inevitable goodbyes she would have to say.]

[He's kinda dead back home, so. Even if it's boring now, Ryuunosuke is staying.]

[It's finally over. People are relieved, they're starting to make their final plans and say their goodbyes, and home is just a short ways away. Richtofen stands up on a table, raising his voice to be heard over the commotion.]

Attention! Yes, attention? If you all could look over here for a minute, please...

[He flips the emotional crowd of people off.]

Fuck all of you, I hate you, I never trusted a single one of you. I hope that all of you die painful deaths, und I want you to know that when I take over my world und have my precious babies rip every living thing on my planet open with their teeth... I'll be thinking of you people. I will imagine your ridiculous features on the tearful faces of each and every pathetic soul that I kill, und it will be almost orgasmic to watch as the light fades from their eyes.

Not without regrets, not without saying goodbye to everyone here he's grown fond of. It's not a long list, but it's there.

There are people back home waiting for him, though. He can't stay too long.]

[He trails off. He's afraid of Waver's answer being that he was just waiting so he could tell Diarmuid goodbye.]

[Maybe at one point he'd felt he needed to stay.]

[Why leave behind a place where you'd gained so much, only to return to where you'd had nothing? Even if some of the experiences here were horrible, and even if they'd shaped him into a bigger monster than he'd ever thought he could become, it was still who he could have become back in the Veil. And it's not like he was without his fair share of wonderful moments. Even the darkest places had a few patches of light.]

[There was nothing left here. All the time he'd wasted faffing about, wondering whether or not he would leave, had he been given the chance, suddenly felt incredibly foolish. If he'd gained anything from his horrifically long stay in this hell, it was the knowledge that forward was the only direction he was supposed to go.]

[And forward he shall go. The memories made here will always be memories, no matter where his physical body is. The relationships he'd unwillingly kindled? ...They weren't worth stagnating for. As much as it pained him to throw them away, he would never admit it.]

[Farewell, Animus. It's been motherfucking real.]

Hi... [She squeezes her eyes shut, forcing back any sort of strong show of emotion, before looking back at the scenery.]

... Gonna be a while until I see anything like this again, so I'm just taking it all in.

[... It's wrong, she thinks, to hesitate. She knows where she should go and what she should do, and yet--]

...Not my choice to make. [Was Waver a little too calm about this?] If he wants to make a contract with me and deal with coming to a different sort of Tower, fine. If not, I guess we'll just say goodbye and leave it at that.

Yeah. It's important to remember these things while you have them.

[He misses home all the more strongly for being close to returning. True sunlight. Knowing you could go wherever you wanted.]

[April chuckles quietly to herself, but it sounds weak and strained. She hesitantly glances over at him, before looking down at her hands.] ... T-thank you, Aleph. For everything.

[Nope, she is not going to cry. She instead swallows tightly and takes a breath before speaking.]
