This isn't anything about a specific mod, more just dissatisfaction with an aspect of how events are run, so I'll leave it here?

You probably all already saw me talking about it on plurk, but I thought it was worth bringing up officially. I wish we could be told OOCly what the events are when we're signing up for them. I'm not really clear what the advantage to keeping us in the dark until after we've already committed is, since we always find out what's going on before we start playing it ICly. But if there is some advantage, and everyone else is happy with it this way, then obviously that's more important.

But to briefly explain my reasoning on why this is a problem for me: I try to be very deliberate with what I subject Willow to. She tends not to get over things and to hold onto them for months, sometimes years, so whatever I put her through I have to be ready to deal with that fallout for quite a while. Not knowing what I'm signing up for has made me, well, not sign up at all most of the time. And I really do want to be involved in the game as a whole!

So tl;dr is there any way we can be told what the event details are when we're signing up for it, and not after the deadline closes?
